The worst luxury hotel experience I have ever had. We arrived at the riad and were shown to our room which smelled of mildew. We were visiting during Ramadan and had taken the time to email the hotel ahead of time and ask if there were any particular restrictions we should be aware of while staying with them, asking specifically if they would be able to serve cocktails or wine, to which the hotel indicated that some other establishments may refuse to serve locals but for a foreigner visiting with them there would be no such restrictions. Upon arrival, I had to attend to a few emails after a day of travel and called to the front desk and asked if we could have two beers sent to our room. We were informed that the hotel does not serve alcohol. Naturally this was confusing to us given the email correspondence. Naturally we wish to be respectful of the local culture, but at the same time we are wine enthusiasts and at this point it felt like a bit of deception on the hotels part. When we spoke to the manager he indicated that all guests are supposed to be informed of this upon booking but acknowledged there was an oversight on their part and we were not told of this, and couldn't explain why it again was not brought up when we emailed asking about this very topic despite acknowledging the hotel does not have a liquor license. One of the part bizarre moments was when the manager then offered to go out and bring the next day and bring back wine for us. Needless to say this made us quite uncomfortable as we were certainly not asking the hotel to break local laws. We just wish they had not been so deceptive.

My wife and I stayed in a suite here for five nights in Jan 2024. It was our first time visiting Marrakech and I will admit I was very intimidated by the city’s layout. However, upon checking in, our concierge took us through a map of the city, noting places of interest and giving tips on interacting with the city’s inhabitants. Our room was spacious, on the ground floor and had a private terrace in the open area of the Riad (which is filled with trees and local birds). The hotel offers food and non-alcoholic drinks (so definitely bring a bottle of wine with you if you’d like to enjoy it on the rooftop or in your room - they will keep it on ice for you and serve you as needed if you like). The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a hotel in Marrakech (whether you’re a newbie like us or an expert!) Cannot wait to come back!

The hotel and room were beautiful and the staff took wonderful care of us. However, upon arrival our shower head was broken so we could not take a shower and the manager then informed us the plumbing company would not be able to fix the issue until the following day. The staff and the manager went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, but this is not an issue you would expect at a hotel of this calibre and needs to be fixed. Our stay would have been perfect were it not for the plumbing issue.

Moroccan hospitality taken to the extreme! The Riad is of course superb, but the staff is exceptional, discreet, attentive, attentive to our every need. They no longer know how to be pleasant to us without weighing on us either. The staff is, like the Riad, elegant, discreet and efficient. Thanks again Happy new year

L’Hotel lived up to all our expectations. On arriving we wondered where we were going when we were escorted through the alleyways of The Medina. Then the doors opened to an oasis in the middle of chaos. The style and comfort of the Riad was wonderful and the service exceptional. The hotel is all about attention to every detail from the fresh flowers to the tortoises doing their rounds of the garden. All the staff were welcoming and made sure we were safe even through an earthquake. They also managed that very fine line between friendliness and obsequiousness. Hisham in particular was very professional and took care of our every need and their chef has worked at the hotel through years of different owners and it shows. The food was delicious and very fresh .We hope to return one day to this very romantic home away from home.

We couldn’t love this hotel more! Everything was perfect! The staff is just the best. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. No detail is overlooked. Breakfast was delicious and a treat to wake up to. Our room was so beautiful and I’m trying to mimic some of the design aesthetics in my own home. The hotel has only 5 rooms centered around a lush courtyard and stunning pool. It was wonderful to return to L’Hotel after the craziness of the Medina. We toured the Royal Mansour and La Mamounia and we were thrilled that we decided on L’Hotel. They treated us like kings. I would love to return and I also want to stay at their new hotel Villa Mabeouka in Tangier. Thank you to the fabulous staff at L’Hotel! You made us feel so special!!

Three nights of absolute bliss at this hotel! It was so tranquil and relaxing! We stayed in the Fez room which was very spacious, had its own balcony and absolutely beautiful bathroom with wonderful amenities. The staff could not be faulted. They were very helpful. I wish I could remember everyone's names and mention them individually as they deserved mention from the person who greeted us and orientated us with a map of the old part of Marrakech to the young new employee who wrote down the recipe for the salad for me. I loved that we were in the old medina yet it was very quiet other than the sweet sound of the birds in the morning and evening. We could choose where to have breakfast. One morning we had it on the terrace, another in the dining room and once even on our own balcony. Getting to this riad was an experience in itself, we were led from the taxi down a maze of narrow alleyways, and then suddenly you arrive at the door and you cannot imagine the oasis behind it. I got a local sim from the airport which was very helpful both in Marrakech and also in the Atlas mountains ( I think it was company Medoc or a similar name). I could not use google maps in the medina but I was able to map our route on Strava and then using this I could retrace our steps back to the Medina. After 2 days it becomes familiar though and you don't worry as much about getting lost. I participated in a cookery demonstration with a friend at a nearby hotel (5 minutes walk away) which I would recommend doing. Thank you for the memory of a lifetime and all your many kindnesses during my stay. If I am able to return to Marrakech I would love to stay again.

This place is a total waste of money. They abuse their customers by charging $3 for a small bottle of water in a country where you can't drink their water and I had cockroaches in my room. Every other 5 star hotel and Riad we stayed at included water at no cost or gave us massive bottles for $2. You're greeted by a bottle or Raid in your room to kill the bugs, so you know it's a big issue. Not impressed at all. Don't stay here.
