Riad Nafis

Our stay at Riad Nafis was simply amazing. As soon as we got in, Yousseff (I hope I spelt this right), the owner, gave us some tea while we chilled on the great rooftop. He got us a map, marking every important point around Marrakesh and kindly explaining different things. The two other males working there are also super helpful and nice. They have a lady who you see cleaning almost all the time, so the place is in an impolite state, cleaning and naming your bed every day (along towels). They also printed our boarding passes for the airport with no extra cost. Overall, this is the place to stay! We will most likely be back :)  On another note, breakfast was simple but nice, we are not big eaters in the morning so we never really finished it all! It definitely makes you full. The location somehow central, about 15mins walk to all the important points (can be up to 20 considering that it's a busy city). 

Yazz the owner knows how to impress, along with his exceptional staff. They arranged a chauffeur service to and from the airport, and had a meal prepared on arrival. The Riad/ hotel, is different to anything I have stayed in before. The room was beyond expectations and very comfortable, with a huge bath, no tv, (which I thought was a nice touch), and was cleaned and bed refreshed daily. The breakfast was outstanding! With plenty of genuine advice from Yazz and Hammid, I explored the hustle and bustle of the city. But I always came back to the outside terrace on the top floor to relax. It has to be the best terrace in the area. Just totally relaxing, with great views over the city and mountains. Nifas is located next to the Palace and I felt really safe, especially around the nearby Mosque. It's a happy place and really enjoyed my time there. With only a few rooms at the hotel, it didn't feel too busy. I will be back soon, to try out the pool.

My base for Marrakech We were looking for a base for our next time in Marrakech and this is it! Just few minutes by walking from place Jemma el Fna, but enough to be in a very quiet area. A lot of small shops in the nearby, way cheaper than near the place (for water, bread etc... I suggest buying here). Our room, even more beautyful than in the pictures, had also a heating system, and a smaller one was in the bathroom. The architecture, seems projected by a very skilled architect. Aboslutely amazing! Good petit dejuner as breakfast, with some small variation from day to day, in an elegant room with a lit fireplace in the winter season. Approved! We enjoyed the terrace too: simply imagine a garden on the rooftop, with a zellige fountain and a supercomfortable sofa... a dream. Since it is January we didn't use the swimmingpool, but it was perfectly clean. Perfect daily cleaning. Wifi, shower etc... everything perfectly working. Although I'll come back for sure, the only thing I suggest is improving the illumination, wich is romantic, but if somebody wants to read in the evening, may not be the best. I'll recommend this riad not only on this platform, but also to friends and al people that will come to Marrakech.

Anniversary trip to Marrakech We loved our stay at Riad Nafis. The owner was very friendly and helpful, with excellent English which was a relief as my French is not very good. The service is very good, on par with a 5 star hotel. The room was very comfortable, it is not palatial, but is very nice and a great value. We enjoyed the location, it was 10-15 minutes walk away from the main square and was a little less hectic, though I would not say quiet. There are 24 hour guards at the adjacent Royal Palace so the very unassuming little alleys to access the Riad feel safe at all hours. The Riad is a little confusing to find at first and looks very plain from outside, but this seems to be common with riads in Marrakech. Yassine arranged several great excursions for us and also arranged a romantic dinner at a very nice restaurant for our anniversary. The personal touches that he arranged for us for dinner were a wonderful surprise. I included a picture of the dinner setting, even though this is not in the Riad. There was also a stork's nest on a nearby mosque that was very visible from the rooftop terrace and a great photo opportunity if you have a good camera (I only had my iphone)
