Marquette Hotels with Pools

Welcome to The Fairfield Inn and Suites in beautiful Marquette Michigan. Recently opened our hotel is conveniently located in the center of all corporate, government and leisure attractions. We are near downtown Marquette, UP Health System, Northern Michigan University and a host of our regions premier businesses. The leisure traveler will find a beautiful sandy beach just across the road from us as well as kayaking, biking, golf, snow sports and endless miles of hiking trails. The Marquette Bicycle Path runs right past our hotel and will easily guide you to Presque Isle Park, which is only a couple of short miles away. At the Marquette Fairfield Inn and Suites, you will enjoy our indoor pool, spa, complimentary high speed Internet, complimentary hot breakfast each morning and legendary guest service that will make you want to return.

Stayed here for a night in July - we travelled as a family of four, with two young children. We attempted to book this hotel two days prior using our points (we have diamond status) and were told that it was not possible, as there were no more rooms available to be booked on points - even though there were plenty of rooms on the website available at a cash rate. Tried again the next day, and was given the same speech. Finally on the third day we were able to book a room at the last minute (we were about to power through the drive and carry on to Sault ste Marie). I don’t recall who I spoke with through this process but the fact it took so many calls started our stay off on the wrong foot. The front desk staff also seemed impatient and frankly, curt, with us as we checked in. We got a king room with pullout - room was clean and comfy, no issues there. We did use the pool - large pool and hot tub and the seating area was very large and nice. The pool itself is showing significant wear - significant cracked tile and missing grout along the inside edges. Otherwise fine - it allowed our kids to burn off some energy. Did not use the on-site restaurant so cannot comment. Hotel is located right off the main highway - next door to a Wendy’s and plenty of other options for dining in the area. Unfortunately the customer service killed the experience for me and I will likely not return here in the future. This seems to have been the experience for some recent guests as well based on reviews. Shame as it’s a nice property.

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I knew the reputation of the owners and they did not disappoint. So much care is gone into the care and upkeep of this property. The beds are absolutely wonderful as well. We will definitely stay here again.
