Entrance hallway and stair carpet was dirty and unswept. Our room door handle was missing. The room was freezing when we entered and the window was open. The bed was made but it was obvious that the sheets were used and not clean. There was also one of the four towels crumpled up. There was a half empty bottle of water beside the bed. The toilet seat was up and the sink wasn’t clean. There was a kettle in the room but no mugs. There was no one in the property to contact and the contact number rang out. We tried the heater which also was not working. In the end, we had to leave and find alternative accommodation for the night. It looked like the room hadn’t been prepared at all and perhaps at a very cursory glance, the room hadn’t been been deemed ‘ready’. At £118 (room only)I was expecting a lot more.

A friendly and well run hotel with a nice bar. Being located beside railway station a real positive. Would definitely book again.
