This hotel is closed it is abandoned, a filthy disgusting property. We booked it for 4 people on Saturday 23 September. On arrival we were horrified to find this place which I cannot begin to describe it was so appalling. Despite having a confirmed booking when I contacted the hotel group responsible I was informed that this dump was now closed. No effort had been made to inform of this we were simply left with no accommodation and had to make alternative arrangements which were extremely difficult and expensive. Why is this property still being advertised!

Hotel seems to have ceased trading: "It is with deep regret that we write to inform you that as of 12/08/2022, The Limes Country House Hotel will NOT BE TRADING TO THE OUTSIDE PUBLIC. We apologize for the short notice". They emailed me and I have had my money refunded in full.

Stopped one night on way to coast. Had passed this hotel for years and decided to give it a go. Booked a double but was given a twin. We'll I say twin as one bed consisted of two mattresses on top of each other. Was told no rooms left so couldn't change. Ended up sleeping on floor as it was to late to try and find another hotel. There was no ventilation in the bathroom that had a dirty bath and a toilet with loose seat. In the morning we found the sink in the room had no hot water from the tap. Infact it had no water at all. Can't say what the breakfast was like as we got up and left. The one star rating is the fact it had walls and a roof. Would not recommend this hotel , your best bet is find another hotel. The limes is very run down to say the least.
