16.17km from Cypress Tree Tunnel
Garden House is located in Marin County on the wooded flanks of Black Mountain overlooking the Nicasio Valley Watershed. The home is secluded on an 12-acre site, off a gated private road, surrounded by 120 acres of ranch land. This very special designed single story home is set among oak, bay trees, and an all year stream that flows to the valley reservoir. A few steps from the house stands a spring fed pond partially surrounded by redwood trees. A deck and a shaded picnic table are at one end of this tranquil pond. Adjacent to the house is a lovely vegetable and flower garden that guests may use to enhance their meals or just to enjoy its sights and sounds. This is the Backdrop for your stay at the Garden House. This house is designed for a great “Stay at Home” experience. It is a Space and a Place for a family gathering, a retreat or a group of several friends who simply want to stay home, relax and enjoy the company of one another. Many guests simply want to enjoy the serenity and privacy of the Garden House without having to venture out. However, the town of Point Reyes Station and the National Seashore are both a short drive away. The small three block long town has great restaurants and unique shops. And of course, The National Seashore offers whale watching, breathtaking beaches, miles of hiking trails and kayaking on Tomales Bay. The Seashore is truly one of the most unique places on earth. The home site consists of two buildings separated by a terraced courtyard. The main Garden House has a large central living space we call “The Great Room” as well as two bedrooms and two baths. The adjacent smaller space we call ”The Cheese House”, provides additional sleeping capacity. Up to 6 guests can be accommodated in the main house and 3 or 4 guests can be accommodated in this smaller unique dwelling. Thus, the whole space can accommodate 9 to10 guests. The modern, architect designed, main house features a distinctly furnished “Great Room” with 1,000 square feet of living space for guests that love to share food preparation and the whole cooking and eating experience. Central to this room is a custom built Ash wood table that comfortably seats up to 12 guests. The cooking and food preparation area occupies a commanding portion of the common space and is extremely well equipped. The kitchen features a commercial Wolf stove, Sub Zero refrigerator, dishwasher, custom stainless steel counters and an extensive pantry with an array of tabletop appliances. All the necessary cookware, tableware and flatware one could imagine are provided. Frankly, this is a "Foodie" paradise. There is a TV/Media Center with a sofa and twin Eames lounge chairs for relaxed conversation or entertainment after dinner. Soft gallery lighting focuses on artwork around the room depicting the landscapes and ranches of the Nicasio Valley. And of course, after dinner someone is likely to play the piano! The Master Bedroom Suite is large and very private with a king size bed. A stunning window wall with a Bay Tree view, dominates the space. The room has a TV/ Media Center and a small sofa that converts into a full bed for use in this room if needed. The adjoining large, private, well-appointed master bath with euro-style fixtures and large glass enclosed shower completes the master suite. The second bedroom located at the opposite end of the main living space has a queen bed. This room also has an integrated office /work space for the person that just cannot get away from "Work". It has an individual entrance off the south facing entry courtyard. The second bathroom, with a glass enclosed shower is adjacent to this bedroom. This bathroom is accessible by guests from the rest of the house. Additionally, there is a sleep sofa in the living area that can accommodate two people. The “Cheese House” is named only for its “wedge shape.” But speaking of Cheese, the surrounding ranch country has many renowned cheese tasting opportunities. This separate cozy house provides the added accommodations and is just a few steps away from the main house via an illuminated courtyard. The main floor has a queen bed, full bathroom with shower and a TV. It even has another coffee bar with a small refrigerator for those who want to be on a different schedule than the rest of the guests. The upstairs loft has a full size bed, though not totally private from the downstairs space; it is very unique and comfortable for two. The gated entry courtyard provides a large private outdoor space for guests to gather on the sunny side of the house. A shade canopy covers a seating area particularly comfortable for morning coffee and evening gatherings. There is a deck and terraced garden on the shade side of the house with a Gas BBQ, table and benches. Be sure to view all the photographs with descriptive captions as they provide a real sense of the Garden House and all it has to offer. Included in the photo gallery is a floor plan of the Garden House and its surroundings, which provide a clearer understanding of the unique spaces and their relationship to each other. If your needs require accommodations for more guests than the Garden House can provide or you would like to have two separate homes on the same property within easy walking distance to one another, please look at “The Tree House” also on VRBO. It is a two Bedroom two Bath house that can accommodate up to 6 guests. It can be found on VRBO by searching for listing ID #827297.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 3-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 21.About events:No events allowed.

If you want seclusion, dark skies, brilliant stars, hiking out the door, wildlife and tranquility—there’s no better location. Just over one mile from Lucas Valley Road, up a curvy, gorgeous (yet bumpy) paved road—we have a spacious home with two guest units—with their own entrances. Outdoor spa area: hot tub, outdoor shower, cold plunge. Sauna available with additional usage charge. Need to reserve time. Pets welcome, extra bed available for third guest. Incredible deck views. This is a large studio with work area and wifi. There’s a microwave, drip coffee, coffee, tea, plates, spoons, etc—mini-frig and utensils; but no kitchen. New Casper memory foam mattress. Best of the place: star gazing at night from the hot tub which is 24 steps from the unit, or watching hawks circle the grounds at eye level. Our place is up a twisty one mile paved drive through a wooded area. Although we are not far from civilization, it feels very remote and amazingly beautiful. There may be ambient noise from the house, but we tend to be quiet.About pets:Pets allowed: limit 2 total. Each pet is a $30 fee.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 18.About events:No events allowed.

Very Good
GGuest UserLovely hotel although we had an accessible room overlooking the courtyard. The shower was not suitable for anyone over 5ft 4in as the shower head was at that height. The air con was very noisy. The curtains did not meet at the join and so people in the courtyard could see in through the slit/daylight comes in. Lastly the room had a funny smell. But the bed was very comfortable. It was very clean. Our second room was on the second floor overlooking the marina and the road. You could hear traffic noise and people walking around upstairs but lovely bathroom and very clean. The staff were all charming and couldn’t be more helpful. The location is great for wandering around Sausalito which is fabulous. You also get 15% off the Firestation cafe which was just gorgeous! I hear that the larger rooms are stunning.

PPaul KhooThe room, though compact, was well-appointed. However, the ambiance leaned towards the dim side, which might not be everyone's preference. It would be great if they considered enhancing the lighting to brighten up the space a bit more. Overall, a decent stay, but there's room for improvement.

GGuest UserI am on my way from San Francisco to Napa valley. This hotel is a perfect location for me. I booked a king bed at last minute. When I checked in, the receptionist upgraded me to a two queen beds room. The room is bigger than most of hotel rooms. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and families.

Very nice hotel, quiet, large room with coffee machine and microwave, Starbucks coffee and black tea delivered daily, there is a fountain park next to all birds, and the lobby is being renovated when checked in, and it's beautifully packed. Breakfast was average and not enough to eat. After eating breakfast every day, I took two loaves of bread and went out to feed the seagulls. A lot of birds were waiting. After going out for a 2 minute drive and crossing the bridge, Macy's Department Store has a lot of food. Safeway supermarket is next to it. Things are cheap and fruits are cheap. Find white cashiers can borrow membership cards. It is much cheaper. Black cashiers generally ignore you. There is a parking lot at any time. The gas station at the intersection of the Sheraton Hotel opposite is the cheapest in San Francisco. It is highly recommended.

XXIAOYANA distance from downtown San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge was reached in downtown. Very quiet, there is a small supermarket around the hotel. Free parking is available. The environment is superb, you can have a glass of wine in the open air, cut a steak, get up in the morning and run around in the morning, surrounded by tennis clubs, and stay at this hotel next time.

AAnonymous UserThe rooms are spacious and the sink is outside the bathroom, so it is easy to use. However, the bathroom is narrow and the shower water pressure is too weak. The disadvantage is that the noise of guests walking upstairs is also severe. The backyard and swimming pool facilities directly connected from the first floor room are good, the nearby restaurants are close and recommended.

GGuest UserWe arrived at around 10:00pm check in to our room and then I needed to use the restroom, come to find out we could not sit down on toilet because the seat was broken went to front off and told the manager on duty, he complained because it was 10:30, he finally said he would give us another room. Had to go back to original room and repack and move to new room. Got in new room and saw what was supposed to be comforters as blankets were really comforters with no filling, called tired to call front desk but the manager said we could not get additional blankets. Next time I will bring my own.

GGuest UserLocation was great. The cleanest of the room was great. The fact that they have a tub that runs with really hot water is perfect. The only problem was that the parking lot got filled up and it wasn’t able to park in the parking lot near my hotel room. Aside from that, my experience was great. I would offer that they put “no pets allowed” in their ads and postings, however. At times I do travel with a client’s pet and not being able to do so or knowing that pets were not allowed until after I made a booking was not able to cancel it Was frustrating.. On another note, I had a delivery from Amazon sent to the hotel, and they delivered it directly to my room .
