Stayed for two nights in July, The hotel is a little way out from the center of Mariehamn but we had a car so it wasn't too much of a problem, the hotel has plenty of free parking outside. There are also two supermarkets just up the road if you need anything. The hotel is on a bus route and you can get taxis which we did one night but they can be quite expensive. there is also a nice walk back to the hotel along the towns promenade then through some woods which takes about 20 - 30 minutes depending on your starting point. The hotel and our room was clean plus our room came with a small kitchenette which we didn't expect. Breakfast was busy when we were there but I think everyone had the same idea to get breakfast early so as to give more time for exploring the Island. Overall the hotel was prefect for our needs.

An affordable hotel located in a quiet area with easy access to Mariehamn centre and other parts of Åland. Ample convenient parking and good breakfast. And there is a nice cafe and ice cream place next door. Some hotel facilities are a bit basic and bedrooms are somewhat dark with limited views. Bedroom chairs rather uncomfortable but beds are fine.

The hotel is 3.8km from the centre, but is easy to reach on foot. Clean, quiet and comfortable: I only stayed here one night and slept very well. The breakfast buffet is not very varied and savory options are preferred, but there is also no shortage of sweet options. In short, there is something for everyone! And then the excellent quality, everything really tasty and neatly presented. The only flaw, if we can say so, is the price per night, a little expensive also given the distance from the centre, but in any case it was the cheapest solution at the time I booked, so I imagine it is in line with the prices of the Åland Islands.

We stayed at Strandnäs Hotel during a very busy Midsummer weekend. Hotel was fully booked but not even nearly enough breakfast for all guests! We went to breakfast at 9.30 and breakfast was open until 10 am. Room was full of guests and everyone tried to get what was left. Many people asked if there is some more this and that coming but staff was quite unpolite. And they didn’t bring enough food to table. During holiday season people do not necessarily want to wake up at 7 am.
