Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort Spa Gainey Ranch

We were not notified by trip.com that this resort was under construction. It was actually shocking that they allowed people to stay here during construction and we felt unsafe in many ways. There was dry wall dust all over that we were likely breathing in. It was a maze to get your room and construction noise at 6am along with the most awkward dining experience in a makeshift restaurant.

This is our go to place for our annual staycation during the summer. It's a wonderful resort. They have wonderful pools. They also have an "adult only" pool if you want to relax away from the kiddos. To add to our wonderful experience was the Bird Man from Liberty Wildlife. On the 4th of July he had Aurora, a huge beautiful female bald eagle. You are able to take a picture with Aurora and as she is lifted up behind you she spreads her gorgeous wings! On other days he might have a hawk or an owl. The live band in the pm was fun too! The picture I posted here of the Bird Man is from Google. The eagle he is with is beautiful, but not Aurora. 💜

Will definitely return, loved the staff and hotel.. clean rooms, great food and loved the pool!! Pool staff also AMAZING!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here! We relaxed by the brand new renovated pools with some food and drinks. The staff here is truly amazing! I can’t wait to see the hotel when it’s fully transitioned into a Grand Hyatt!

This hotel is going under a major and massive renovation. Getting in and around the hotel is like walking through a corn maze. The noise and the dust was completely unacceptable. We were told that there would be no construction over the weekend. That was a lie. The construction noise was so loud you could not even have a conversation at the pool. The dust completely filled all of the hallways and the makeshift lobby. This hotel even had the nerve of charging a $35 a day resort fee and $45 a day parking fee. There were no signs directing you to self park. the restaurants were either closed or set up in a makeshift conference room. Hyatt should be ashamed of charging these exuberant fees while they’re undergoing major renovation I will not return nor will. I recommend a Hyatt Regency resort.

The hotel should not be operating whilst under construction. Noise from 05.30 in the morning, literally all areas under construction except some rooms and the pool. No proper functioning restaurant, just a temporary room with no toilets. Construction worker went through a water pipe in our final morning, just as I was in the shower. Reception staff are not empowered to do anything other than offer a refund if you want to stay elsewhere, or points for members. Complained to General Manager and was partially refunded, which was appreciated. It will be fabulous when it’s completed, and the refurbished rooms are fabulous, as is the pool. However none of this is worth what is otherwise a very unpleasant stay. Stay away until completed.

Tough to do a full review due to the hotel being under a total renovation. Renovated pool was amazing. All hotel staff were amazing, especially the pool staff. They were very helpful and attentive. They made the stay memorable, you don’t see that type of commitment to service very often. Due to the construction, we were awakened about 6am each morning.

Arrived to find that the hotel is undergoing major reconstruction It was a dusty noisy construction site In our opinion uninhabitable and unsafe Surprisingly they still offered us our room, but the restaurant was closed and amenities were unavailable They offered no discount, but they offered the amazing offer of free cancellation and rebooking, by ourselves, somewhere else. As we booked through a third party agent , we had to contact them , to ting them back in order to cancel it. Hyatt said it was the third party agent who was at fault as they should have told us, and there was a note on Hyatts website. Our agent said they had no knowledge of the building works. Stay away from this place.

The facility is lovely and in a great location. Unfortunately there was the final phase of construction occurring which made navigating the grounds challenging. When the remodel is complete this will be a phenomenal location.
