Morrillo Beach Eco Resort

It was great! Cari and Ryan are awesome hosts. Coming from Colorado, I was craving warmth, waves, and a total change of scenery. Morillo Beach was perfect for that. The vibe here is unreal. You’re surrounded by jungle, the beach is just steps away, and it feels like you have the whole place to yourself. I’m used to hiking in the Rockies, but walking this coastline at sunset with howler monkeys in the trees and nothing but ocean sounds was a whole different kind of peace. The surf is amazing. The waves are super fun and there are no crazy crowds. Every day we were there it was only my party surfing. Even if you’ve never surfed before, this is a great place to learn. The geography makes it feel super safe, and how the tides work there’re is perfect. Really no risk of getting ****** out to sea. I was really scared to learn, and it didn’t even feel remotely intimidating here. When you’re not in the water, you can hang out in a hammock, paddleboard, explore tide pools, or just relax and take in the view. The resort has such a cool and relaxed feel. It’s eco conscious, super clean, and you can tell the owners really care. The staff are kind and welcoming and the food is fresh and delicious. Everything felt simple in the best way. We did a fishing trip through the resort I’d highly recommend. The captain was great, it felt really safe, and we caught a lot of cool fish. Tuna, baracuda, and several others. The surf instructor was great, and the guide for the fishing trip was also great. Super fun people that are great to hang out with but also extremely good hosts. Another thing that was cool was that in the area you got to have a more authentic look into how portions of Panama actually are, how friendly almost everyone is and get an idea for what life here looks like for locals. Food is amazing by the way too. Everything super super good, the type of meals you’d spend 50+$ on the states. If you’re from Colorado and looking for something totally different from mountain life, this place is it. Warm water, wild nature, and a peaceful vibe that’s hard to find. I already can’t wait to go back.

A beautiful environment of the shoreline and the environment that has been created within the area of the Resort. The natural environment has created a home for Howler Monkeys, Birds and Beautiful Lizards.

I don't even know where to start. I came for 8 days with my 5-year-old son, and it was such an amazing experience. Solo traveling with a 5-year-old has the potential to be a daunting and stressful experience, but that was not the case. Cari and every member of staff were kind, thoughtful, patient, helpful, and added a perfect tone to it all. The beach is unparalleled and perfect for finding all kinds of goodies. The estuary was its own sort of experience, and one of my son's personal favorites. The room was unique, spacious, and beautiful. The personalized chalkboard art was absolutely delightful. The Adventure Book and badge program for my son was so much fun for him, and he has all the badges, the treasure map, pirate treasure, and little duck all lined up where he can see them. The food was perfect, and they went out of their way to accommodate a picky eater by giving him smaller portions and disassembling certain meals for him to examine, choose, and put together himself. And the coffee....well, it's going to take them a while to build their supply back up. This was the absolute perfect spot to come unwind, destress, and unplug. It was tranquil and peaceful, a few activities here and there, and the remainder just open-ended relaxation, beach, watching the monkeys, resting, and enjoying the rainy afternoons. It definitely feels like a home away from home, and it's the type of place that can kind of quietly change your life and mindset. Annual visits won't be enough, and we're already planning our first return trip.

An incredibly beautiful place right in the middle of nature – we even listened to the howler monkeys during breakfast! The view is a dream, the property is natural and designed with great care and love. If you love nature, this is absolutely the right place. We took surfing lessons – a big thank you to Felix for the wonderful and patient instruction. The food was also first-class, fresh and delicious. Cari, the owner, fulfills every wish and makes you feel completely at home. A very special highlight: we were allowed to plant our own avocado tree. Our seven-year-old son was so thrilled that he didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back – absolutely recommendable! ✨

Our family of 9, ages ranging from 11 to 89, spent 3 nights at Morrillo Beach Eco Resort. Some of us live in Panama and some in Florida. We have traveled all over Panama together and stayed at many different resorts. This is one of our favorites. Cari and staff were very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. The view overlooking the beach was stunning both morning and night. We enjoyed walking the beach collecting shells and sandollars and swimming. We rented the easily accessible kayaks and paddleboards and enjoyed paddling through the estuary exploring the mangroves. One highlight of the trip was the half day waterfall hike where we saw 6 different waterfalls many of which we could jump into and swim in. After our delicious dinners we enjoyed drinks from the bar and playing the wide variety of gamrs they have available as a family. We saw howler monkeys and toucans everyday up close. We hope to return one day and experience the other adventures they have to offer.

I cannot begin to express how special this place is. We came down with four kids ranging from 19yrs to 13yrs old and the experience could not have been better. From the hospitality to the adventures, everything was beyond our expectations and the only regret was that we did not stay another week. It is the most incredible combination of an inclusive stay and an immersive dive into the culture of the area. Our sadness at leaving was tempered only by the notion of planning a return trip to this amazing place. I cannot recommend Morrillo Beach Eco Resort enough.
