Top lokatie en heerlijke lodge. Zeer kompleet uitgerust met alles wat je nodig hebt, ook als jezelf wil koken. Ideale lokatie om een paar dagen te verblijven en te genieten tijdens een rondreis door Nieuw-Zeeland. Lodge was ook zeer schoon en ontvangst was gastvrij.

Jared and Chris were extremely friendly. Nothing we asked for was too much bother. Their knowledge of the area is excellent. The chalet was very well equipped, way beyond expectation. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was modern. We loved the entire experience. Louise and Bella wanted to say thank you very much.

Kleine gemütliche Holzhäuser . Alle mit sehr schönem Blick auf den Ozean. Zum Strand mit Ebbe und Flut sind es 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Unerfreulich war das Benehmen der Rezeptionistin (Chris ), die mir mehrere Male unhöflich ins Wort fiel. ihre ganze Attitude war für einen Job im Servicebereich m.M.n. ungeeignet. Die Bitte unserer Tischnachbarn ( ein älteres Ehepaar 70+ )beim Frühstück, ob sie vllt eine Reservierung im benachbartem Restaurant fürs Abendessen machen könnte, lehnte Chris ab mit der Begründung, sie könnten das auch online selbst machen. Klar erkennbar unehrliche, aufgesetzte Freundlichkeit mit einem deutlich falschem Lächeln. Schade. Augen auf bei der Berufswahl liebe Chris!!! Der Strand direkt vor der Tür in Mārahau ist fürs Baden eigentlich nicht geeignet. Extremer Unterschied des Wasserstandes bei Niedrig- bzw. Hochwasser. Ein sehr schöner Badestrand ist jedoch mit dem Auto in ca. 20 Minuten in Kaiteriteri zu erreichen. Großer Pluspunkt der Unterkunft in Marahau ist der direkte und sehr nahegelegene Zugang zum Abel Tasman Nationalpark mit der Möglichkeit traumhafte Wanderungen entlang der Küste zu munternehmen.

We had a great experience here. We had a 1 bedroom chalet - it felt nicely secluded with beautiful green foliage, it was spacious, well stocked and had a nice view from the porch and a really comfortable bed. We added the breakfast, which was nice (coffee, juice, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, bread and eggs to order). It's a 10-15 min walk to Hooked and the outfitters, although AquaTaxi and R&R Kayaks are closer. It's only 5-10 min walk to the park entrance and the Park Cafe (where we had 2 really good dinners, pizza and fresh catch of the day). We would definitely recommend!

Cette étape fait partie des plus belles de notre séjour en Nouvelle Zélande. Le chalet tout en bois, magnifique et au calme, avec vue sur la mer de Tasman était une bulle d'oxygène. A notre arrivée, le responsable nous a accueillis et confirmé pour nous la traversée pour la randonnée du lendemain. Le chalet, avec parking privatif était irréprochable, cuisine équipée, terrasse avec vue sur la mer et même le ménage fait pour un sejour de deux nuitées.
