Nice camp with beautiful views. On the huge river with hippos all over, we’re so fun to watch. Baby hippos were so cute! Tents are huge with outdoor showers. Wish they had indoor showers too as it was a bit cold our. Service and food very tasty. Will come back.

Lovely camp right on the Mara River. Hippos all over and we even saw a leopard from camp! The food was great and good choices. Service was wonderful, very helpful and nice staff. Our safari tents were huge and very comfortable beds and lounges on our deck on the river. Loved it.

This was our first safari and better than we could ever expect. We were greeted by James and Lorna at the Mara North airstrip as soon as we landed. They handed us a cold drink and just as we thought we were going to camp they took us on our first game drive, and from there we saw animals continuously for four days. James and Lorna were incredible guides, so friendly and knowledgeable. Arriving at the camp later we were greeted by more staff who helped us check in and explain everything about the place. You have the same roof attendant and waiter throughout the stay so you get to know them just like your guide. The tents you stay in are so nice. We only wish we had more time to relax in them. Overall, we saw every animal we hoped to see while doing it in luxury. Incredible stay and highly recommend. We hope to visit there again, and if we are lucky, some of the same staff will still be there.

We stayed 3 nights at this camp and did not want to leave!! We loved everything about this camp, the staff, the game drives, location, views are all so so amazing. Our guide Kisemei was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and great at spotting the animals. He was amazing and any one who gets him as their driver is very very lucky!! Within our first game drive we got to see wildabeast, giraffes & a baby one, 4 male lions together (which is so rare), a cheetah and we got so close to the elephants that I managed to get a selfie with one!! The location of this camp is just amazing, we spent hours after our game drive just sat along the river watching the hippos and even got lucky with a group of 4 elephants wondering down to come and have a drink. The tents are so lovely and spacious, providing you with shampoo, conditioner, bodywash & insect repellent. They have well enough space for charging cameras phone etc and we always had a hot shower!! The food was amazing and had plenty of options each meal time, with a 3 course meal for lunch & dinner!! They also provide you with your own water bottles that you can take with you when you leave & have water fountains in the main area so you can continually top up, whilst also providing water in the tents. They also have a tea & coffee stand in this area and you can grab a cup at anytime of the day! The staff are so lovely and we were so sad to leave this camp. This place is magical and we would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to Karen Blixen camp & all the staff who made our trip so amazing!

Our guide Kisemei was extremely knowledgeable and great at spotting the animals, evening game drives included sundowner drinks in the bush. Wonderful staff who were friendly and attentive. Great location on the river bank, what an experience hearing the hippos at night! Highly recommended!

Absolutely perfect. I recommend this place very highly. We have enjoyed 6 days in KBC and I cried when I left. All the staff are encredible. So dedicated - especially I will have to mention our safari guide Simon who is so dedicated, passionate about his job (and the animals) and willing to share his enormous knowledge and his enthusiasm is contagious . I will definitely be back. Been home for 2 days and miss everything badly….. the staff, the camp, the big cats - just everything. Everybody should visit KBC and Mara North. What I really loved is the love and respect for the animals. Ohhh I miss Karen Blixen Camp.

A very welcoming place with staff who are all attentive to your needs. Accommodations are glamping style tents with simple bathrooms, and showers "open to the sky." Food is delicious. The Masai guides who do the game drives are very knowledgeable and do their best to find the animals in their natural habitat. Hippos hang out in the river outside the tents and dining room. Monkeys roam the property and giraffes and other animals hang out across the river. It is quiet and wonderful.

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Karen Blixen camp (part of our Kenyan safari holiday). It was absolutely fantastic! All the staff were friendly and helpful, from reception/dining staff, to safari guides and the Masai Warriors who walked us to/from our rooms in the early morning/ evening. The tents were very comfortable, equipped with all we needed, including fresh drinking water, changed daily, shower gel/shampoo/conditioner/body lotion all of which smelled amazing. Insect repellent and room spray was also provided which was gratefully received! Dennis and his apprentice Paul picked us up from the air ***** with drinks in the cooler (the cooler was restocked with the drinks we requested each day, including delicious ginger beer) and were our guides for our 4 day safari. Dennis was very knowledgeable and professional and clearly cared very much about the animals on the conservancy. He was also very friendly and was always making us laugh! Thanks to his knowledge of the area we saw every type of animal we had hoped to see - including the elusive leopard twice. He always ensured we were able to take lots of photos. At the camp it was great to watch the hippos, etc in the river whilst eating meals or relaxing with a drink in between safari. The hot water bottles placed in our bed each night during turndown were always gratefully received as it did tend to drop cold!! We took advantage of the walking tour of the camp, led by Paul, and enjoyed finding out about the workings of the camp. I particularly enjoyed visiting the cookery school, the IT class and also meeting the Masai women who were keen to demonstrate their beading skills. A special mention must go to Moses, the camp manager, who always went the extra mile to great us at meal times and to make sure everything was going to plan. He is a real credit to the company. This was our first safari and we felt thoroughly looked after and safe throughout. We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better experience.
