This little place is a gem. Lots of wildlife to see on property...monkeys, sloths, macaws, etc. Villas and balconies are very charming. Great pool and friendly managers. Dennis and Paula are great and will help you with all local information.

We absolutely loved this hotel and will stay here again and again! The view of the jungle and ocean from our balcony was spectacular! We watched the sloth in the tree and the iguanas daily! Also saw macaws fly by each day and for to see some monkeys as well. All from our balcony! The room was gorgeous and well air conditioned. The balcony was our favorite part and even in the rain for to sit there and enjoy the outdoors and the view. Breakfast each day was very good and the grounds are like a botanic garden. It was also walking distance to numerous restaurants, the beach and not too far from the entrance to the national park. The full size kitchen was very nice too! We were able to put drinks and lunch stuff on there to eat on the amazing balcony. I can't believe this is only 2 star hotel. It's one of the moat beautiful I've seen.

I would like to say the staff was amazing! The second we arrived Dennis got us all checked in and even allowed us to check in early since we had an excursion set up. We got checked in and got to see a Macaw! Room was awesome! Animals all over. We saw a sloth from our balcony. Would book again!

Super convenient location, around shops and restaurants. Very friendly. Loved seeing monkeys off of my balcony and the room was very spacious.

Villas Nicolas is beautiful and we were so happy with our stay! The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast each morning was a lovely , and the grounds and pool were exceptional. The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants, the beach (20 min), and even Manuel Antonio NP if you're up for a little hike. Public transit runs regularly and is inexpensive to get to around the area.
Lovely stay! If were ever back in CS, we'll be back at Villas Nicolas!

This was a really cool property. We saw more wildlife here (monkeys, toucans, and Macaw) then we did on all of our excursions while in Costa Rica. Awesome porches/patios. Shout out to Paola. She was great. Warm and welcoming and helpful. The only thing lacking, we thought were the shampoo and soaps. Otherwise, very comfortable enjoyable stay.
