We spend a wonderful couple of days in Manteo at the White Doe Inn. We have stayed there many times and the experience is always wonderful. This time we met the new owners, Dave and Tania. They are warm and inviting and are improving on what was already a fantastic place to stay. We loved the cookies and the afternoon happy hour. Breakfast was delicious! We can’t wait to go back.

My husband and I booked a stay to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and it did not disappoint! It’s an absolutely beautiful inn that’s walking distance into the town of Manteo. The hosts/owners Dave and Tonia are so welcoming and down to earth! They really go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need! We were able to have privacy when needed and opportunities to mingle as well. The happy hour snacks were amazing as well as the delicious breakfast served on the patio. Tonia knows what she’s doing in the kitchen! The gardens are gorgeous and there’s little comfy places to sit and relax scattered across the property. It was a home away from home!

The White Doe Inn is everything we dreamed of when we were looking for a B&B. Our sweet was lovely and well appointed with nice touches. We added the wine and chocolate pairing to our room and it was all ready upon our arrival. The surrounding gardens are lovely and the historic architecture was beautiful, clearly expertly maintained and cared for through time. The Inn Keeper and Chef were top-notch. They even recommended a dinner spot which is now one of our top ten favorites of all time. The breakfast provided was gourmet and worth the trip in itself.

Talk about a dream, it felt like we were walking out of a storybook with the charm of the inn and town! We chose to spend our honeymoon here and had an amazing time. Loved the short walk to town and short drive to other sight seeing options. Overall it was a great location! Our breakfast was amazing and the cariety throughout the week was great. It is a hundred year old house but was very clean and decorated nicely! The inn keepers really do anticipate your needs and do their best to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere! Their staff was also incredible. Would love to stay here again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Delicious food with all the extra touches - happy hour charcuterie board, freshly baked cookies. The only thing I would recommend is replacing the carpet, but since the innkeepers only recently purchased the property, I’m sure that’s on their to-do list.

We loved our stay at the White Doe Inn. On Friday night we strolled into town for dinner and stumbled upon First Friday— live music, art galleries, townspeople and dogs everywhere. Super cute! The inn was so comfortable and the food was delicious. I ended up with a stomach bug and the owners were incredibly accommodating (even offering to run to the pharmacy for me!). Even though our Saturday night was a night in, we rested very well and felt well cared for by the owners. The homemade multi course breakfasts were delicious and relaxing on the back patio.

We stay for 3 nights at White Doe Inn and truly enjoyed every moment. Dave and Tonia are the best and make you feel like you're family! They have so much postive energy and we can see their vision with improvements to make it even better. Our 3 course breakfast every morning was creative and delicious keeping us full all day. Warm cookies every afternoon and a happy hour as well! We loved exploring all the nooks and crannies thoughtout the gardens and porches. We even took an afternoon bike ride on the bikes they provided, the location of the inn is perfect and in walking distance to restaurants and the harbor. We loved our stay and look forward to returning!

This is my third and best trip to the White Doe. Very much liked it before but the new owners have raised it to a new level. Wonderful breakfast, great room (with jet tub), and super location. Made reservations for next year. Can’t wait till then

The staff delivered unparalleled service, which was beyond anything I have experienced. The ambience and everything associated with the stay was par excellence. Beautiful music in the lobby, happy hour, and the outdoor fire pit were among the personal touches they presented. I recommend it highly. Bob Crosby
