Excellent service, attentive and polite staff. We were offered a better room than the one we booked, as there was availability. All the rooms were well heated. The pool is not that hot but for after the sauna it is the ideal temperature. Dinner was good and breakfast was great.
It's really worth the cost/benefit! A hotel to return to again and again!

Es la segunda vez que pernoctamos en Casa das Penhas Douradas y no puedo imaginar un hotel más acogedor que este para contemplar las tormentas llegar. Desde la cima de Penhas Douradas, a 1500m de altitud, a través de grandes ventanales y desde salones y habitaciones sumamente cómodos y bellos, se ven llegar esas tormentas de nieve y de lluvia o espectáculos de niebla, tan comunes allí. Para acabar de rematar la experiencia, el restaurante, excelente, tanto por la cocina de autor, como por el trato excepcional del personal en la sala. Grandes profesionales como Marco Antonio, Ricardo y Carolina saben, además, hacernos sentir como en casa. Gracias!!!

Hotel com quartos pequenos. Com proposta de sustentável deixa a desejar no quesito conforto. O bom é o restaurante e os atendentes. A comida é boa apesar das porções serem muito pequenas. E o atendimento extremamente cordial.

Amazing stay. The attention to every detail and customer needs is excellent. Even needs we didn't even know we had... For example, asking for route suggestions for a walk, and they promptly provided a bottle of water and some apples for the children... Very pleasant swimming pool, services that made us feel at home. Exceptional restaurant, where I ate one of the best desserts of my life. Fantastic!

We stayed 3 nights in this Scandinavian design hotel. Everything was perfect from the welcome to breakfast, afternoon tea and especially dinner. It was delicious. It was my birthday and I was surprised to have a cake and 2 glasses of champagne in my room. J The place is a haven of peace, tranquility at an altitude of 2000 meters with an impressive view of the mountains of the Serra da Estrella. The staff is charming from the cleaning lady to the people in the restaurant and reception. Special mention for Carlos and Raffaelo who were professional without forgetting all the others. Rooms cleaned twice a day. Coffee and tea available all day. Afternoon tea from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and aperitif every evening. All this included in the price. Dinner is divine. A little expensive but delicious 😋. And above all, total relaxation. Swimming pool heated to 31 degrees. Room not very big but you feel good there. Super comfortable bedding. I will return with great pleasure. I had a hard time leaving because we were so happy.
