2-Star Hotels in Mannheim

I had to go to Mannheim on business and was looking for a cheap room for 3 nights. I wasn't expecting luxury for the price. Even with my low expectations, I quickly realized that I should get out of here quickly. The reception was almost never manned, when I arrived I had to make several phone calls and use a key safe to find my way to the room. It is a very old, noisy, dirty and uncomfortable building. My room smelled very strongly of mold, there were huge dark spots on the floor, mold on the door frame, stains on the bed sheets and even weird blood looking stains on the room wall. I have attached pictures. Nothing for weak nerves. More than one bad night was unbearable and I had to change hotels the next morning. I was only reimbursed for one night as I was late in finding someone at the hotel reception. It's not worth saving here! Do yourself a favor and stay away!

A beautiful hotel in itself. Check-in and check-out was uncomplicated and has super hit. The only huge manko I think is that from 22:00 a.m. no more staff are there. I was there with my best friend ( we were 2 girls). At the arrival we have already found three very drunk foreigners who then unfortunately knocked us up in the middle of the night and we thought they had found the access code at the reception so they can come in with us. It went so long and didn't stop until we called the police. Of course, this can happen everywhere, but if someone had been at the reception or elsewhere, the three men would have been banned from alcohol or even from home because they were very marginalized. The stay was a horror experience for us, unfortunately, especially with the idea of what happened to all that in the area by foreigners.

Still very nice hotel Relative to this price, the hotel room is not small, quite large, and ample. The hotel’s breakfast is very recommended, 8.9 Euros every day, full variety, and very well managed. The room is fairly clean and the bathroom layout is reasonable. The location is not close to the train station, not too easy to find, but not far from the Mannheim water tower. The staff is very welcoming.

The Mercure Mannheim Rathaus is a bit dated but still OK and very practical / functional for a stay in Mannheim. Centrally located. Friendly staff. Clean. Access with public transit is a bit tricky, either a 25-minute walk from the main station or a combination of tram / walk. Arriving by car is much easier, they have a garage (do not know about the cost though). One nice things for a stay during the summer period: you can open the windows at the hotel for fresh air. Downside: there was no vault in the room.

This place is a modern hotel in a central location. It is not cheap as there is a lot of fluctuation of guests in this busy area but the rooms are tiny. Breakfast buffet offers a lot of choices and the staff is very friendly. There is parking available at the hotel, but if you are here for a weekend, there is plenty of free parking available in a 2 minute walking distance.

Hotel near main station, a nice reception, remarkable popularity, flat-screen TV, with 1 channel in French. Windows are really obscuring for a total sleep. A large office and a refrigerator, OK. The bed is comfortable; shower, Italian; wallpapers, towels and soaps provided. Breakfast is OK, with a salad of real fruit

clean rooms, friendly staff, functionally furnished very central: only a few steps to the next station of the streetcar if you open the window you have the normal noises (loudly) in the city - you are at the most central point ;-) No air conditioning & no fridge, so I suggest booking this hotel in the cold season.
