Ingenia Holidays Lake Macquarie

Admittedly we booked an inexpensive room for one night only, but the room was appalling. The photo on the website was of a studio apartment. There was just enough room for a double bed and cupboard.  The bathroom was small and very basic. The ‘studio ‘ was no more than a cubby hole. Couldn’t sleep in the cramped quarters.

Hi I have to say this is the 2nd time we have stayed at the park, and we were very happy with the 1st time. 1st time we stayed in a cabin for 6 nights and then our caravan when the work was completed for a week. The staff were fantastic. This time we were very disappointed 😞. The bed was very uncomfortable. Needs a topper to soften the caravan mattress and low height pillows which didn't help. The TV was not scanning to channels and had rabbit ears as the antenna clipped to the fire exhibitor. As for staff we only had contact on arrival for the key, we left at 7 am, hence dropped the key in the box. The office lady was quite pleasant on arrival 😄. I don't think we will stay there again, which is ashame as our 1st time was good. I feel for $607 for 3 night stay the standard of the cabin was very disappointing 😞.

We stayed overnight with our caravan. Our site was down by the pool and we had really nice views over the lake. The weather was awful and it rained pretty much the entire time but despite the wet it was still a nice park. The staff were really nice and even came to check on us once we were in as they were concerned about the wet. Lots of ducks and wet but otherwise a nice stay.

The camp ground was under going construction work, so noise and safety issues were a problem making our stay less than satisfactory

Won’t be back. Bed was clean but that’s about it. Room was grubby overall, they didn’t even attempt to vacuum it. A couple of colleagues were staying there and they said theirs was the same. It was cheap but not cheap enough for that.

Friendly, warm welcoming staff! Very helpful with guides to local shops and attractions. Clean facilities, kitchen equipment was so helpful in the rain. Beautiful view of the lake and fishing was awesome. Kids had a ball in the pool and riding the bikes we hired.
