The resort has a bit of a tied reception and the water features are not well maintained. The beach are is the star feature of the resort. The tree houses were very dated but spacious. Lots of stray dogs, not impressed when a waiter kick one in front of me.

Our first visit to Samoa but third to the Pacific area. We enjoyed our stay in the tree house suite. They are all getting a bit older but still very good quality and kept clean. The staff were very friendly, some were new or a little bit inexperienced but most were more than helpful. I enjoyed the water activities with snorkeling and paddle boards available. It’s best to snorkel at high tide to see more fish. The beach area is perfect for swimming but the snorkeling is just ok. You can take a boat tour to go further for more diving options. There are two main tours, South East to to Sua Ocean Trench and Lalomanu Beach, this follows the coastline with beaches and waterfalls available. The other is West to see The Giant Clam Sanctuary, there are small villages and other beaches plus dining options available. Over all a good stay, cheers from Ballarat VIC

It was a pleasure to call in to Coconuts for lunch last week and to see how great everything was looking since our last stay in 2023, including the rebuilding of one of the overwater fales (Sieni). We've stayed at Coconuts six times since 2013 because we love everything about this resort. We'll be back in 2026... can't wait!

I stayed 3 nights in an overwater bungalow. Coconuts Beach Club & Resort is a beautiful property but they do some strange things. For example, breakfast is included but there are a bunch of rules associated with it (see picture of breakfast rules attached)… it’s not a mistake that ‘OR’ is in all caps when they say you can have coffee OR tea, god forbid you want both. Even a budget motel wouldn’t do that… and this may be the most expensive hotel in Samoa. Another example of strange things… When I checked in, the toilet in my bungalow was broken. I headed out for a few hours and returned to find that all my items had been moved without my consent to another bungalow. Ok no big deal, but every overwater bungalow was available during my stay (it was slow season), and they moved me into the worst bungalow… the only one that doesn’t face the ocean. C’mon guys.

Booked 3 overwater bungalows for a family holiday. Upon arrival, the staff member had trouble with my room key. Instead of resolving the issue, they relocated us to a beachfront room with 1 bed, which was unsuitable for me, my partner, and 13-year-old. After expressing dissatisfaction, the staff apologized and eventually sorted out the room, revealing a mistake with our name and room details. To make matters worse, we were also very disappointed with the cleaning staff as money went missing from two of our bungalows, raising serious concerns about security and trust issues absolutely infuriating. This was taken up with the manager and sorted. The place is a bit outdated, and there's only one pool, which is deep - not great for younger kids. On the plus side, the beach is great. Although the stay was not great, we did meet a couple of friendly staff members. If not for them, I would rate this a 1.

My husband and I stayed at Coconuts for our first time in June 2025. We stayed 5 nights in a beach fale. Our room looked out to the ocean and was a quick walk to the restaurant. We absolutely loved our accommodation. The architecture was exactly what we were looking for, not like a large hotel which could be anywhere. It felt like you were in the South Pacific. It was really clean with so much character. We especially loved the bathroom. The architecture of the whole resort was like this and surrounded in well kept tropical gardens. Polynesian paradise! We ate most of our meals in the restaurant which were really tasty. There's a large selection. I'm coeliac and there were enough gluten free options. The live traditional music played at dinner was also really special. Don't miss the cultural demonstrations Saturdays and the entertainment Saturday nights. This entire day was the highlight of our trip. We found all of the staff very friendly and accommodating when we had any questions. Brian the host was very hospitable. He showed us to our room, explained anything we needed to know about the resort and was always around checking in to make sure guests were happy. Don't forget to read the history of Coconuts in the folder in your room. You will learn how extra special this place is. We went out on surfing and snorkeling tours with Manoa Tours which runs out of the resort. Neil was really informative so we learnt a great deal about Samoa. We were really impressed on how healthy and beautiful the coral was on the tour. Plenty of colourful marine life too. Lots of turtles cruising around too! We have unforgettable memories from our trip and are planing on returning next year. Thank you so much to Brian and all the staff for making our stay so special. Tip - don't miss the delicious cocktails especially at sunset during happy hour. Also floating out of the spa after a blissful hour long massage.

Rooms great, cleaned daily would've been better with a nicer shower and mini kitchen. Pool area lovely. Food average. After a few days there was a bit of a vibe from staff. Overall is a lovely setting.
