I stayed at Ashiana for a yoga rertreat in Nov 2024. The food was amazing and the facilities charming. But be careful not to end up in the ”Bridge view” room which is located outside of the resort, next to neighbours who burn trash and of very poor valu for money. Conclusion: nice but super expensive for what you get. Will not go back.

This retreat haven was a beautiful blend of everything one could need for restoring health, reconnecting with nature and rejuvenating the body, mind and soul. You are less than a 5 minute walk (over a beautiful bridge) to the beach. This property is larger than it feels due to the lush vegetation and carefully designed layout of the rooms and amenities. I had the best sleep there despite no AC in my room, the ceiling fan was sufficient and it feels like the accommodations were designed to maintain temperatures. The yoga shalas are absolutely beautiful and one of the best I've seen in my travels. Classes are a nice mix of styles from challenging flow to restorative. You never want to miss a meal there once you've had your first! The food (vegetarian) was a nice mix of Indian and Western, always fresh and divinely prepared. My holiday package included yoga twice daily and breakfast and dinner which I recommend if you decide to book. Definitely try a spa treatment. My foot massage was heavenly! Management has friendly dogs on site however they let out some loud barks periodically. But this is beautiful Goa :) One thing I noticed was that every staff member always seemed like they are happy to be there. It's a welcoming and refreshing feeling to stay in a place like this when you travel abroad. This is a perfect setting for solo travelers. (I met several while I was there). Enjoy Ashiyana!

The location was very ni. Ce, just on the back waters and very close to sea. But the food, breakfast time is 10. 00 to 11. 00. Our indian mindset may not like this

It was my third time at Ashiyana and it was another great stay. The food was excellent as always and the yoga was great, I particularly enjoyed Om and Jade’s classes. The retreat is not far from the beach, and all the people on the retreat were lovely and chilled.

It was my thirds time at Ashiyana and it still hits all the right spots. It has a great location but far from the beach and you feel as if you’re in the middle of the Jungle. The yoga and food were great, such tastey vegetarian food. The best instructors were Jade and Om. The people I met were lovely and good fun, we had lovely dinner times together. Can’t wait to go back!

You have to go to Ashiyana at least once in your life if you really want to feel paradise on earth. It is the most aestheic and generous surroundings. Everything is so beautiful and carefully designed down to the last detail in natual materiales. Antique doors, organic forms everywhere in the floors, steps, stairs, ,furnitures, anything. Spa- pools, resting places and lots of shalas to make yoga hidden in behind the palmtrees. Massage and bodytreatments performed by the best masseuses. The food is incredible and unmatched. An experience in itself. Delicious fresh, tasty, indian dishes. Everything is so nice and clean. On this point Ashiyana does not compromise. Friendly employes walk around in silence from early morning to late evening and ensure that guests always experience a beautiful and well- kept envitonment . The rooms are built in woodenhouses in two floors hidden behind the palmtrees. You are now in the jungle.The river just next to you and 5 minutes to the Arabien Sea. Only very few turists here around . You feel so much rest and in peace while you are here at Ashiyana,. The beaty and the love and kindness from the people working here is inkomparable. Special thanks to the caretakes - the lovely Elsa from Portugal, and Brandon from Alabama.

Wonderful yoga with beachside vibes. This is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed! The staff was friendly, the rooms were beautiful, and the beach was a 2 min walk away. Food was delicious and yoga was absolutely wonderful. I could not recommend this place enough.

I'm a bit ambivalent about my stay at Ashiyana this year. I completed my 4-week YTT here in 2017 and have been there twice since. For me it was a place of longing, a home away from home. So this year, after the pandemic, I was finally drawn back there. However, I have to say that the magic has faded a bit. Everything seems a bit improvised, the bathrooms really need to be renovated, the whole atmosphere is not what it used to be. The crew has also changed and I can't describe exactly what it was that didn't let me get into it. The drop-in yoga teachers were also so-so, which I also knew differently from this retreat center. The staff are friendly, but still seem a bit unsure, but requests are followed up on immediately, what surprises me is why *** as a guest has to point it out first and it isn't fixed right away.
