We werden tijdens een wandeling er op gewezen dat hier een gezellig terras was. Het terras was inderdaad gezellig, mooi uitzicht over het water en de waterval. Maar de blonde serveerster met haar bril was UITERST onvriendelijk!!! Bij het naar binnen gaan toen ze een plateau had laten vallen viel ze zelfs bijna over haar lang gezicht.

The trout from Heidsmühle - we enjoyed "Forelle Müllerin" - are unbeatably good. They are totally fresh and perfectly prepared. And in the best spring weather and with a view of the rushing Kleine Kyll, they are simply great.

Idyllically located in a valley between Manderscheid and Meerfeld. The rooms are spacious and functional. The hosts are very friendly, accommodating and flexible. They know the area like the backs of their hands and can give lots of tips for tours. The food is good, the portions are substantial. The friendly service staff couldn't believe that we really only wanted small portions. Hats off to the way the alpine hut is navigating and overcoming the damage caused by the floods of summer 2021!
