My wife and I were fortunate enough to be able to visit Lake Como as part of our Italian holiday and we were fortunate to be able to stay at Residenza Laurum for 7 days. On arrival Lucia warmly welcomed us and we immediately felt at home. She showed us around and went through some helpful information to make our stay more enjoyable. It is situated close to the railway station which is very handy and as Mandello is divided by the train line the accommodation is perfect to explore both sides of the town. Lucia provides a delicious breakfast each morning and always a surprise homemade bake which we look forward to. The whole place is exceptionally clean and well cared for as are the picturesque gardens. We hope to be able to travel to Lake Como again and would definitely stay at Residenza Laurum. Beautiful newly renovated villa. Lovely hosts who cannot do enough to help. Room was modern, clean and quiet (absolutely no highway noise). Wifi, aircon worked very well. Everything is well thought out. Lucia is amazing and prepares the best breakfasts. Location is just a few steps from the train station and there is secure parking onsite. We’ll be back.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Lucia qui nous a chaleureusement accueillis, nous a conseillés (et en français !) tant sur les choses à voir que sur les restaurants de la région. La maison est d'une propreté impeccable, avec un mignon petit jardin d'où l'on voit les montagnes des Grigne. Étant trois adultes, nous avons eu la chambre 1 communiquant avec la chambre 2, très spacieuse et confortable (la literie et nous avons fort apprécié la climatisation). Le petit déjeuner salé et sucré que propose Lucia est très varié, copieux et goûteux, fait de ses pâtisseries, de fruits, de charcuterie/fromage...de quoi nous permettre d'affronter la journée sur le calme de la terrasse. Le prix de la chambre est tout à fait raisonnable compte-tenu des prestations comprises. Si nous revenons au lac de Côme, nous retournerons dans ce B&B sans hésiter. Merci pour cette générosité et cette gentillesse.

We’ve never stayed anywhere with such a friendly welcome and wonderfully helpful service. Unassuming from the outside, the beautifully kept house has a delightful garden - where a first-class breakfast is served (including a delicious home-made each day). Lucia genuinely couldn’t have been more attentive, with advice on what to do in the area, snd happily making (or in our case cancelling) restaurant reservations. Our room, with two connecting bedrooms, was spotless, very comfortable, and had particularly welcome air-con. Perhaps because Mandello del Lario isn’t one of the main tourist towns, it’s all remarkable value for money: if you thought it was impossible to visit Lake Como on a budget, think again. We would t hesitate to return. The pretty town centre is only a short walk away, with a fantastic lakeside lido. The train station is almost directly across the road.

Die Residenz Laurum kann mit jedem Sterne Hotel mithalten. Wir waren schon in mehreren B&B, doch dieses war bis jetzt das schönste und geschmackvollste von allen. Es stimmte alles, vom Handtuch bis zu den modernen Möbeln ist alles farblich aufeinander abgestimmt. Die Zimmer haben eine gute Größe. Der Service und die Sauberkeit, Super!! Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr abwechslungsreich und üppig, für jeden etwas dabei. Das B&B liegt zentral an einer Hauptstraße, doch durch eine hohe Mauer von der Straße abgegrenzt, dadurch ist es sehr leise. Im gepflegt Garten mit Terrasse bleibt man gerne länger beim Frühstücken sitzen. Die sehr sympathische Besitzerin Lucia kümmert sich rührend um ihre Gäste. Da wir Familie [ mein Lebenspartner ist hier aufgewachsen] in Abbadia haben, und öfters am Comer See sind, werden wir in Zukunft immer bei Lucia wohnen, es war wie Urlaub bei einer Freundin.
