I know, I know: Knocking two or three stars off a place because both days there was no hot water is petty. It has a great pool, lovely views, convenient to town. But no kidding, this is easily our half-dozenth stay here over the last five years, and this was the first time there was no hot water, and damn it, we put 20,000 miles on the car each year roaming eastern America, which includes a lot of lodging places at all price levels, and only a really discount motel doesn't have hot water, and this isn't one. Hate to say it, but from here on in, we're out of here. Seriously, why ever hit the road to come across no hot water?

Stopped here because there was a terrible thunderstorm and we couldn’t drive further. Turned out to be a good choice price wise. Room was ok (pillows a bit hard.) Self check in was tricky. Wound up calling the number on the desk to get help.

Got there after dark, so a bit hard to find building where room was located. We weren't in the main building but in a little bungalow suite in the back. Air conditioned. Large bathroom. Continental breakfast in main office building. Ice machine and laundry room. Great view of the VT mountains. Just stayed overnight, so didn't use the pool.

Beyond underwhelming
Muddy path to entrance, dirty floor, hard mattress, flies in windowsills, hair in shower, no hooks or shelves in bathroom, no microwave as advertised, fussy electric lock, jammed entry door, impossible to reach toilet flush. Not a good experience. Much better choices just down the road.

I've been here twice. Once in March '24 and once in April '25. What a difference a year makes. What was once a tired but cozy roadside motel has turned into a decently (if probably on a budget) renovated/updated and more inviting space. I was perfectly fine staying for one night in the old version but was pleasantly surprised (prior to booking) that it had made improvements. Nice job. Would stay again.
