A beautiful location with stunning views. The hotel interior was a perfect mix of traditional and contemporary. Our room was right at the top of the building and, although very small, it was well designed and very clean. The service was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough to help you. We had dinner in the bar, which was tasty and arrived quickly and hot! All in all, The Cottage in the Woods is a perfect place for a quiet break with a little luxury. We will definitely be returning.

Had booked for dinner so greeted on arrival and directed to the bar for pleasant pre dinner drinks . Taken to our table which was situated by the window with a lovely view over Worcestershire. Very nice young lady took our order. Starters : Whitebait , very enjoyable but no batter , Camembert good size very nice. Main :- Plaice small portion. Fillet steak , sliced which is a cunning way to disguise the size which is smaller than it looks ,huge amount of salad. Both tasty but mean portion sizes. Dessert:- Blackberry mousse very nice. Mango alright. Service was excellent , no hurry although restaurant was busy. Car parking can be a problem .

Stayed here as it was in close proximity to a wedding we attended at 'Barns & Yard'. Location is stunning, nestled in the woods with some great views from the front of the property. It also had the necessary amenities close by (Morrisons Local) down the hill, and multiple shops etc just up the road in Great Malvern. Staff were also friendly and accomodating. Sadly our experience with our room (Which is all we really were using this hotel for) was bang average. We stayed in one of the attic rooms of the main building (Room 5) and was sub-par for the price of £150 per night. Our friends also stayed at the hotel and they were in one of the annex buildings, there room was absolute night and day compared to ours, their bathroom was probably the size of our whole room + bathroom... but they paid the same price! It was clean and adequate, but poor for the price sadly... 3/4 bed, shower only - You'd struggle to swing a cat!

From the moment we arrived all the staff were warm and friendly. The afternoon tea was excellent value compared with other local venues and the chef kindly swapped a few of the cakes for savoury snacks. Our waitress Olivia was attentive and had extensive knowledge of the tea selections. We felt pampered and relaxed as we took in the stunning views from the restaurant. We had a walk in the woods beforehand which made the food all the more enjoyable. Ask reception for a map. Will definitely be returning. The staff made the trip. If you're looking for a relaxed, great quality food and stunning both inside and out, this is the place. 👌

What a beautiful place, we arrived and went to reception, lovely young lady explained our room was quite ready, we were early, we sat outside with our two dogs and had a lovely cold wine, every member of staff that walked past us said hello and petted our two small dogs, receptionist came out with our keys and chatted with us, so friendly, off we went to the coach house, my first response was just wow! Beautiful stunning room with amazing views, French doors opened out onto a small patio, only thing I would say here is they probably need to fence or place something as it’s a steep drop and couldn’t sit outside there with the dogs as worried they would fall through, we walked the dogs got changed and went for dinner, lovely table by the open window over looking the amazing views, had white bait to start, then fillet steak delicious, husband had pate and burger also delicious, service was top notch, bed was so comfy too, breakfast was amazing service and staff just fabulous, our children paid for a Sunday slumber was just the best present can not recommend highly enough!

Dinner in the Brasserie. Food was mediocre at best. Could have done better at home. Service was haphazard. Waited nearly half an hour for our order to be taken. Aperitifs arrived a couple of minutes at most before the first course. Prices were much too high for unadventurous pub-style food. The Brasserie is an attractive room and the views are excellent.

I stayed at this beautiful hotel for 2 nights this week. Fabulous location, lovely room and stunning views, but what really makes this place special is the staff! From the exceptionally friendly and helpful reception staff, to the excellent restaurant waiting staff and chefs! Great food, too. Looking forward to my return visit next month.

What a disappointing evening. We live locally and had heard good reports of the food at the Cottage in the Wood so decided to have a celebratory meal here for my birthday. We came away feeling we had been ripped off. For the price we expected fine dining but this was not up to the standard of some of our local pubs who serve far better cuisine for less money. We will not be returning!
