This is my first time writing a review here to warn other people! I rested in this hotel in September 2022. The only advantage is the convenient location of the hotel. 3 minutes to the sea. Very close to Heraklion - you can get there for 1.5 euros by bus. And that’s all, then there are continuous minuses. The food is disgusting - even the locals have heard about it. They said that the owners buy the cheapest products. But the cook manages to spoil them so much that often they are simply impossible to eat. There is practically no fruit - during the week, at dinner twice, each person was given two! tiny pieces of unripe watermelon (let me remind you: this is Crete in September!!!). You can't ask yet! On other days, instead of watermelon, they also gave out a small piece of something sweet—not cake, not baklava. There are no soups. At the serving table there is a stern man who, with undisguised malice, watches every spoonful of what is put on the plate. The amount of food offered is minimal. By the way, they insistently ask you to clean up the dishes yourself. The room is classic. The hairdryer didn't work, but the reception desk gave us a portable one. The sink was leaking; by the time you washed your face, there was already a flood on the floor. They didn't fix it in a week. They just put my towel under the sink, but it didn’t save me from the flood. To turn on the air conditioner, you need to find a certain position of the balcony door: if you close it completely, the air conditioner does not work. There is a kettle in the room, but it was so “overgrown” with plaque that I didn’t want to use it. Cleaning is mediocre. Very rude manager. There is a swimming pool. You have to take the sunbeds yourself and clean them yourself after use. Next to the pool there is a slightly open sewer hatch - the smell is appropriate! This is the experience of staying in Amudar. Well, Crete is amazing as always! But not in this hotel
