This is a great choice is you don't want or can't stay inside the park. The property is literally on the river that serves as the southern boundary for the park - you can watch animals from the common patio. My only complaint is that the common area doubles as a dining area for the restaurant (which is so so). If you have your own food, snacks, wine etc. - there is no place other than you room that you are allowed to consume them. Slightly less stringent policies would be a step up.

Positives & negatives. great place, superb location, staff,food Ok to good... but in 4 days it would have been nice to have a working coffee machine or top up of the hospitality tray. despite asking frequently, it never happened. Luckily I always take my handy travel kettle & sachets.. Petty to mention it but , chairs on balcony , impossible to sit on..and odd bedside flimsy tables that overlapped the bed and kept getting knocked, so attention to appearance rather than comfort... but a great stay after a week in Sanparks much more basic accommodation

Lovely Lodge on the outskirts of Kruger National Park - Malalane gate - on the Crocodile River - lovely rooms and deck over looking the river - food was amazing and staff very helpful - highly recommend - we had a delux room for one night - also very peaceful

Very beautiful lodge to spend quality time with family, great facilities, fresh & delicious meals. The view into Kruger National park is breathtaking. Pool clean and sparkling. Very friendly staff from the security into the main lodge. Welcome drink from the reception desk, quick and efficient check in.

Pestana kruger loge is the best place you could go in Mpumalanga,there staff is very friendly and they will help you till your settled.the best Part of our trip was the animals specially the crocodile river I would highly recommend you go here with you family

Excellent service, excellent food and the rooms are very comfortable. The deck view of the crocodile river is very beautiful and calming. I took my mom for the weekend and she enjoyed each and every moment of it, the getaway is absolutely worhtwhile.

Always go for the deluxe rooms there are resident Waterbucks there and Hippos and crocodiles in the river and Elephants cross the river at night to feed in front of the rooms , the hotel sits just outside the Malelane gate an area famous for Leopards along the Crocodile river area the hotel has very good food and friendly staff

Messy as our guide she manage to spot big five for us and Priscilla as our waiter she serves us good food and very well, the place on its own very beautifully, spar also amazing drinks are also amazing ,rooms that we had double deluxe front view we spotted lions

Told on arrival that there had been a mistake in booking and we were to be accomodated at a grossly inferior hotel 2km away although we had booked months ago. Eventually they found us a room but other friends were not so fortunate. It has become apparent that overbooking is a regular practice here. Beware.
