I booked a room and did prepayment, when we arrived they said we're overbooked and took us to another street and gave us an appartement, when we refused they said take it or leave, first of all nobody speaks english and they ignored us badly, the appartement so dirty and not safe for girls at all. In the morning someone came to us and said we don't have room and if you want to leave feel free and we will rembourse you, after 4 days no refound has been done and when I asked they said we will not refound anything, and you can take voucher.... This staff they don't give any care to guests and seems don't like arabs at all, I don't recomment this propety and I will contact the ministry of tourisme to explain what happening to tourists in this hotel.

Great location. The hotel is very close to the sea. The surrounding area has many restaurants, local bars and the regional market. The train station is 30 minutes on foot. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are cleaned every day, the towels are also changed. On the ground floor there is a modestly equipped kitchen (coffee machine, microwave, toaster, sink). The hotel staff is very friendly. The reception is available 24/7, so we felt safe. I recommend!

Mi dispiace recensire un posto in modo orribile, ma purtroppo lo devo fare, non tanto per l'Hotel..... nel quale non ho ancora soggiornato.... ma per la scortesia e maleducazione del titolare o gestore o chiunque lo gestisca. Purtroppo ho dovuto cancellare la prenotazione .. dopo solo due giorni che l'avevo fatta.. in quanto dopo alcune domande alle quali mi avevano risposto mi sono accorta di aver sbagliato albergo. Avevo fatto la prenotazione per settembre, quindi subito con 4 mesi di anticipo ho scritto di dover mio malgrado annullare la prenotazione spiegando il perche'- Mi hanno applicato la penale di 100 euro ugualmente,, ma peggio ancora non hanno mai risposto alle mie innumerevoli mail di spiegazione, Se non la prima dicendo che la poliìtica dell'hotel è di applicare la penale. Capirei se avessi cancellato una settimana prima o anche un mese prima... ma 4 MESI PRIMAAAAA--- e la loro maleducazione di non rispondere ad una sola mail di spiegazione. Mi sono sentita truffata e presa in giro. Quindi non mi resta che consigliare di non andare in questo hotel, che magari sara' anche carino ma gestito da persone molto maleducate che sicuramente non stanno facendo il meglio per gesture l'albergo.

The hotel is fine for a 2-star hotel, but the double room is very small. The air conditioning heat pump takes a long time to kick on, and there is an emergency light in the room that is too bright. I had to sleep with an eye mask.

Awful hotel
I had a terrible experience at Hotel Solymar. The hotel is so noisy that you can hear every conversation from the nearby rooms as if people were actually in my room. On the last day, someone tried to get into my room at night. It is neither a comfortable nor a safe place. I would not recommend it to anyone.
