Walls were mouldy. Room had a smell to it, bathroom was shared which we were unaware of when booking.
Had to cross the hall to the shared toilet. Bathroom was locked or someone was in it from 5am-11am so had to get clothes on and walk upstairs to use a different one which when half asleep was less than ideal.
Overall not a pleasant stay. Owner seemed nice though.

I appreciated the care and communication of the owners Maite and Mariangeles. The space was immaculate and organized. The vibe was a mix of hostel meets Airbnb. Set in a quiet neighborhood, there are no loud street noises. I confess, I am old school and not a fan of the"do -it - yourself " faceless lodging category, where a live staff person is not on premise and everything is done by text, however, it is the way of the world and Malaga Lodge Guesthouse does an excellent job in this category.

The morning of travel I found an email that my credit card wasn’t valid. Contacted ******* but they couldn’t help me. Called the owner. Within 10 minutes she called me back and everything was arranged, she was very helpful.

Alojamiento NEFASTO. Si queréis tener seguro un sitio donde dormir no reservéis con ellos, ya que es práctica habitual para ellos cancelar las reservar con horas de antelacion si encuentran a alguien que les paga mejor. Teníamos reservado con ellos desde hacía 1 mes y apenas 3 horas antes de entrar nos cancelaron la reserva avisándonos por un email. Llamamos inmediatamente y la señora nos dijo que ya estaba cancelada, sin darnos solución. Era el festival de cine de Málaga y habían querido sacar un mayor rendimiento a la habitación. Hay muchos negocios honestos en esta preciosa ciudad por lo que os aconsejo NO reservar con negocios de esta calaña.

Malaga Lodge Guesthouse was a tidy, quiet hostel within walking distance of the main areas/attractions of the city. Only complaint is that no instructions were provided for check-in and there's no one onsite. We had to buzz the intercom (connected to someone's phone) for 15 minutes (within the listed check-in hours) before anyone answered and let us in.

this place was absolutely terrible! I booked this place for my son and I communicated with this place that he would be arriving late evening from the airport. When he arrived no one was there and no one answered the phone. He was stranded alone in the middle of the night. There was no where for him to rebook considering the time of night. This place needs to be removed from your catalog immediately as this was a very dangerous situation.
