This a boutique hotel with a Baba Nyonya theme. This is a hotel built-up in a row of 3 storey shop-houses. This is a cosy hotel. It clean but the rooms are a bit on the smaller end. We got the king size bed which was comfortable. The room is equip with a television set, coffee & coffee making facilities. Most required amenities are available in the bathroom. The shower is very strong. Generally the hotel is comfortable cosy. However maintenance could be improved. The room was not cleaned after our first night stay. The auto room key was not working, so I had to use the key. The main issue is there is no lift to the rooms so you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs if you are on the higher floors. So try to get the lower floors. Another drawback is that they do not have their own car parks & the public car parks are normally packed especially during the weekends.

We booked this hotel as per recommended by other guests reviews. However, the first thing we feel upon arriving at 3pm is that the lobby is very warm, there is not even a think cold air blowing from the ceiling air-con. Anyway, we booked 2 rooms a week ago and we were told that the rooms are not ready, yet. The check-in time for this hotel is 3pm, but we have waited 30 minutes only to get our first room and another 30 minutes to get second room. The first room was super dark as there were only 1 light working, so we ended up calling the maintenance to fix all other lights in the room. The second room was not clean, hair were everywhere and there's even a pair of leggings hanging in the wardrobe. Both rooms showers were not properly clean, hence the water is not able to run, as it's clogged due to massive hair balls stucked in the hole. That's not all. As our rooms doesn't comes with breakfast, we bought 2 breakfast for the first room for next day. There was no meal vouchers given to us except the receipt as the receptionist told us to show just the room key to the cafe staff. But, the cafe staff refused to let us in even after we showed the room key to him. He told us that we need to present meal voucher to him, which was not told to us by the receptionist. We told him to checked in the system as we have paid for it and he refused to do so. He shoved us away immediately without checking further. After all the hassle, we went to the receptionist at lobby and seek for refund. And we were told that it takes 15 working days for the refund (which is MYR30 only). We paid by cash for the breakfast when we check in, but we cannot get our cash back instantly for refusing us go enter the cafe. We don't think that we deserved such treatment by the hotel staff, just because the room rate are affordable, doesn't means the hospitality standards can be regards as third world class. What else can we ask for? If it's not due to TripAdvisor system, I don't even want to give even 1 rating.

From the moment we entered the hotel lobby, we were impressed. The interior decor was luxurious yet warm and inviting. The family room that we booked was spacious and clean with comfortable double beds and linens. The room was overlooking the ocean which had a fabulous view. There is a kettle, a small fridge and a large TV which we loved. The bathroom was nicely decorated with unique tiles. They provided plush towels and top of the line toiletry sets which they would replace every day.

Where do I begin with this hotel…?! Booked for 3 nights via Expedia because the hotel’s reservation page kept declining my credit card but still charging it - will sort this out later. Check-in: was told I had to pay a RM50 deposit in cash when I checked in. My hotel was prepaid online but I have no issue with the deposit, except they wouldn’t take credit cards for the deposit as they apparently cannot issue deposit refunds via credit card. I guess they haven’t learned about placing authorizations on cards and reversing the charges. They have Touch n’Go e-wallet stickers at reception but also wouldn’t allow me to pay the deposit via TnG. Fortunately I had some cash on me or I would have had to go find an ATM to withdraw money. Arguing with the receptionist is pointless since they’re merely enforcing stupid and nonsensical policies by management. Room: basic but acceptable. The remote controls for the air conditioning and tv were given at check-in. I guess the management is highly suspicious of guests and will not leave them in the room. Hot water in the shower was lukewarm at best and water pressure so-so. TV channels have zero channels in English. Guess English-speakers aren’t their intended clientele. Housekeeping does not automatically make up rooms. I was out the whole day and when I came back around 645pm, realised that the room was not made up. By then I had decided to move hotels and forego remaining 2 nights after the first night. At checkout when I told the receptionist about the unmade room, I was told that I had to call housekeeping to clean the room. What kind of half-baked, cheapskate dump has such a ridiculous policy!? I was told that apparently some guests don’t allow housekeeping in and so they just decided to not clean until asked. Amazingly every other respectable hotel in the world has a better solution to this - come back later!! Funnily this ridiculous policy is also not communicated at check-in. I didn’t expect an offer of refund for checking out early. Any hotel whose management is such a skinflint that they wouldn’t even provide daily housekeeping or keep the remotes in the room can hardly be expected to engage in customer service. Oh as a bonus, I saw an ironing board in the corridor. They wouldn’t provide ironing boards in the room of course. The pictures say more than I can. Verdict: never coming back here again if I can help it. Overpriced and does not deserve 3 star rating.

Love it so much, we stayed here for 3 days 2 nights, the rooms are very clean, wide and equipped with basic equipments and electrical appliances such as microwave, electrical stove, fridge, washing machine and TV. You will be assigned one unique parking lot for each unit after checked in. Customer service is so excellent and efficient. The view is pretty nice, can even see Encore Melaka from our unit. Will come here again next time.

Clean hotel, simple but beautiful deco. The room is okay, the toilet is clean. Complete with bathroom equipment. Iron and hair dryer provided. Breakfast food is very tasty. The pool is best suited for children's pools, but if you can provide chairs near the pool, it's okay. The staff is okay. Reasonable price. Check-in check-out is easy, you don't have to wait long. Will repeat again later. Overalls are the best 👍

We stayed at the TF Riverside for a night in May. This happened to be during Ramadan. The entrance from the street has steps up to reception (there is a steepish ramp, too steep for a wheelchair unless assisted by a strong person). We were able to check in without any issues. There's a car park under the hotel but there is no direct access from the car park into the hotel. We were allocated rooms on the 3rd floor overlooking the main road rather than the riverside. The lifts were functional but a little bumpy. The hotel was refurbished about a year ago, and whilst what is there is clean and OK, it's more towards a budget set up, and the furniture looked fairly tired. However a really basic annoyance in the room was the lack of and location of power outlets. There was a power outlet just above the floor level behind the fridge, and another about 1m above the floor halfway between the bed and the window in the middle of nowhere. The kettle (provided in the room) couldn't be plugged in unless you held it in mid-air whilst boiling or moved furniture to the outlet between the bed and window, or you moved the fridge. Whilst I can understand that the cost of moving power outlets isn't a minor thing, surely this should have been sorted out when the hotel was refurbed about a year ago? And could easily be mitigated for limited expense by providing a couple of multi-outlet power bars to provide desktop power by the fridge and bedside. The bathroom was again clean but fairly basic. Oh, and the hot water was barely warmer than ambient temperature both evening - which we reported the receptionist - but the issue still persisted the next morning. We had booked two rooms, and the power and hot water issues were the same in both rooms. After checking in we left the hotel for a wander aroound the city - which is gorgeous, and easily walkable from the hotel. As we left the hotel and walked initally along the riverside we could see an Iftar buffet being set up by the hotel on their riverside dining area, and the selection of food looked to be impressive and comprehensive. We got back to the hotel having had dinner elsewhere with friends and saw the tail end of the Iftar buffet, and looked forward to our breakfast the next morning. However, we were to be disappointed. When we got down for breakfast the next monring, we were presented a menu card of five items, of which two - the nasi lemak and rice porridge congee were unavailable. We've been at hotels when low occupancy means it's uneconomic to run a full buffet, and I completely understand this - but usually in these situations you get presented a decent list of whats available and a commitment provided they have the ingredients within reason they will try their best to make something for you. The view from my room is beautiful, can see Melaka River and all city 🫶🏻… Free parking provided for guest(sharing park with swiss gardeen hotel,Level 7&8) But to be honest for staycation is just nice, u do not expect to much yaa.. The room i got level 31-092, air-conditioning not properly functioning. The designer for bathroom wall(are glasses) not suitable for family or friends to stay together unless a married couple. Because you all can see transparency thru the glass, no binder provided and also the bathroom door no doorknob yaa. You guys can imagine, no privacy😅 Yes, for the lift until August 2024 there is not improvement despite a lot of complaint 🤒 It can be ages to waiting for the lift.

Enjoyed the good breakfast here ,especially the coffee machine available to have a cup of coffee in the morning. Hotel room was clean but a bit dirty on the towel . The service team was great and friendly. A bit disappointed was the swimming pool is small and close early .

The hotel is in a convenient location, but parking is quite troublesome. The room is managed separately from the hotel, requiring us to park in an opposite lot, which is about a 10-minute drive to the highest floor. Unfortunately, the room was not clean. The toilet also needed attention, and there was a persistent odor reminiscent of dampness that we couldn't eliminate, even after purchasing a freshener. Additionally, there were stains on the walls and throughout the room. I provided feedback to the management, but it appears my message went unnoticed. On a positive note, the room does offer a great view of the river and the city and the bed is very comfortable.
