[Note that we know the place as "Traditional Mansion Evilion" and not "Archontiko Evilion"but according to the picture I am confident that this is the same place] This is a very good hotel - a great choice to spend a night or two in Makrinitsa. It has a good and quiet location (400 meter walk from the main parking; may seems longer when you walk it with suitcases) and the room (although a bit small) is very pleasant and cozy. With all the hotel qualities, we mainly remember Vasiliki - the hotel host... very friendly and helpful (even when we asked to switch rooms) - it seems that she really cares for you to enjoy the stay.

Makrinitsa is a beautiful, picturesque mountain village. And Evilion is right in the middle of the ancient town center, but still quiet on the hillside and has a great view of Volos and the surrounding area. We were there in early June 2022. Evilion is a well maintained traditional house in the typical mountain village architecture with very cute rooms, not big but all the more comfortable and all different. We definitely recommend the rooms overlooking the bay of Volos. DREAMLIKE. The exterior of the Evilion is also beautiful. If the season allows, breakfast with a great view is a must here. Breakfast is always freshly prepared by Ms. Vasso and lovingly served personally. What you should know before you arrive: Since Evilion is located in the middle of the picturesque town, you have to walk from the parking lot at the entrance to the hotel with your luggage over the ancient cobblestone streets. In the rain and with the wrong shoes, this can be a bit slippery and tedious. We therefore recommend that you only take what you need with you and sturdy shoes for your stay at the Evilion. You will be rewarded with picturesque alleys, where you will be reminded of past centuries with every step you take. The impressive, huge and ancient plane trees, especially in the town center, are also witnesses to the past. In summary: It was wonderful at the Evilion. Vasso and Jiannis are the perfect hosts. WE WILL BE BACK !
