Kingswood Hotel

Please look to pay a little more and avoid making the same mistake as me and staying here. I have stayed in hotels across the world, some good and some bad. This has to be in the top 3 worst hotels I have ever stayed in. For starters there is a strange and horrible smell in the property and I had to wash everything I took with me, even things in the case I did not wear. The toilet had no toilet seat, bathroom was full of grime with a tiny sink you could not have a wash in. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the covers I was unsure if they had even been changed from the last occupant. The tea making facilities were there but tea bags just left on the side. Not even in a bowl or anything. The place just echoed noise and even as a heavy sleeper I was woken many times from loud noises from inside the building and possibly kitchen downstairs. The only good thing I have to say is the food I had in the restaurant was good. But that was not enough to make up for the poor hotel.

I booked a last minute stay for myself and my 2 children before visiting Legoland today.. We arrived last night around 5pm and after entering our room I could of actually cried as I felt so awful letting my children stay in such a disgusting place. It was beyond the worst place I have ever stayed in. Absolutely shocking! The curtains were closed, it was dark and extremely warm. I will list just a few issues we had .. • Wardrobe door hanging off - very wobbly • 3 hangers in wardrobe just throw at the bottom • Walls filthy, ceiling yellow and cobwebs everywhere! • No kettle - just the stand • Opened biscuits • Filthy cups and saucer • A very loud dripping tap!! • Bath and sink both very unclean • Very dirty and dusty bathroom pipes and floor • Bedroom chairs heavily ripped • Bedroom windows would not open • Every drawer full of crumbs, dust - even one drawer contained a dirty tissue! One of the single beds was very stained. The carpet was disgusting, unclean, very very dirty - our feet were black! The TV was tiny and we had 3 remotes (only 1 worked for the TV - it also had NO back on it) My son lost a toy behind the dresser which the tv was on. We dragged it forward and I was almost sick at the sight. We left this morning at 8am to get breakfast before going to legoland so nobody was on the actual reception. I have tried emailing them but it keeps saying undelivered and there is also no answer when I have tried to call. I have taken around 30 photos and will be taking this matter further and reporting to trading standards Please please please do not stay here. Don't be fooled . We stayed due to the price being alot cheaper than other local hotels. I honestly wouldn't stay again even if it was free!!!!

It was the worst ever ever experience. The room was terribly dirty and dated. I was feeling discomfort when I tried to sleep. The mattress had some kind of wear which feels under the bed linen. I had skin irritation and could not sleep at all. After the first night I had very busy day and felt very tired so I had to book to stay somewhere else on my second night. I checked out without staying the second night I paid for. I called the lady from the reception and the manager in charge to show them the issues and explain them the situation. I offered a different room but was to late as I already had a very busy day ruined off and couldn’t risk again so I had to check out. I was explained to me that they don’t have cancellation policy on which I replied: I am not taking about cancellation, but refund as I did not receive the accommodation I paid for it. The response was to contact ***********. I do believe I should have my money refund!
