I can’t say enough good things about Fairmont. The house and landscaping is beautiful and the owners are the nicest couple. It is located right on the main road within short walking distance to restaurants and water front. The place is clean and well appointed. It was quiet and comfortable. The breakfasts were outstanding! Stay here - don’t look for others.

Thomas is a wonderful host, making you feel welcome in his grand old home. Our room had a large king sized bed, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom is large as well with 2 sink and a deep sunken tub/ shower. The bay is across the street although some gravel trucks obstructed our view. But in saying that, it is walking distance to the bay, shops and restaurants. Thomas puts on a fabulous spread for breakfast. He serves you in his formal dining room where you get to meet the other guests staying there. You have fresh fruits, yogurt, cereal, smoked salmon, cheeses and banana bread. Then he asks you if you want pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausage. Fabulous! The house is tired and needs some repairs to the front steps, but it was a lovely stay!

What delightful experience! Friendly host, wonderful luxury bedroom with attached bathroom, clean , fantastic breakfast with all the trimmings, great company, highly recommended, even for a honeymoon. Central location on Main St , I really enjoyed staying there and was sorry to leave after one night.

Hosts were extremely friendly, approachable and welcoming. The accommodations were clean, well kept and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, and provided a nice atmosphere to meet other guests and socialize. Would stay here again or recommend to anyone!

On a three week tour up the east coast from Boston and into PEI and Nova Scotia and back, I booked accomodation based on reviews on here and didn't go wrong. We stayed at some motels and some unusual b&b's, several of them unique and charming. Fairmont House was the one that topped the list with an informative and helpful host, excellent breakfast, and a beautiful house with lovely interior and decor and an amazing staircase. Thank you Thomas for making us feel so welcome.

Enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Bed and Breakfast in Mahone Bay! Michael was a great host welcoming us in and making sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable! Breakfast in the morning was a delicious variety of fruits..yogurt..cheese..smoked salmon and eggs made to order! You couldn’t ask for more. This simple but elegant heritage house is a definite great stop if you are in Nova Scotia and stopping at Mahone Bay! Walking distance to everything you need makes this a great stop on your vacation!

We loved our stay at Fairmont House. Our room on the second floor was spacious with vaulted ceilings. The owner was so nice, gave us recommendations for dinner, and made a delicious breakfast the next morning. I loved that all guests sit at the formal dining room table and get to talk to one another too.

A nice little place with lots of character. Location was perfect - very close to walk to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was beautifully presented with delicious banana bread and smoked salmon. Tom was an entertaining host with lots of stories to share about the area!

We loved our stay at the Fairmont House B&B!! Beautiful clean rooms in a historic home, breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from. I'd definitely stay there again. Very handy to cafes, pubs, gift shops with lovely view.
