Stayed at the ramsukh resort during the diwali weekend for 2 nights in the ixora room. Starting with the loaction. It's located near the mahabaleshwar temple in old mahabaleshwar. It's pretty far from the market. Mapro's garden in panchgani is around an hours drive. It's completely cut off with not many restaurants in the area so u will have to have your meals at the resort. Coming to the food. It's a pure veg restaurant and it's very very expensive. A veg pasta, pane-er lababdar, 2 butter rotis and strawberry milkshake cost me rs. 1800. Having said that, the food is super tasty and freshly prepared. From gatte ki subzi to a wood fired veg pizza i tried everything and was never disappointed. The breakfast buffet is good too and was very tasty. They also have jain dishes in the buffet. Honestly, apart from the cost, was some of the best veg food i've eaten. Now the rooms. We stayed in the ixora room. The room was pretty big with a balcony. The view was average as we could only see the trees and a little part of the valley(no surprise here as it was mentioned in the room description. Can see the sunrise from the room though. The room has a good heritage feel but seems a bit old as well. It's clean but stained. The bed had a spring mattress that could have been more comfortable but 2 adults and 1 child could easily fit. Basic amenities like tea and coffee was provided. There was a microwave, a dvd player and speakers too. Speakers could be connected with a 3. 5mm jack which didn't work for me. The bathroom is pretty big and sports a jacuzzi too. The jacuzzi is clean but again old. The bathroom has a huge window, split in half clear and frosted glass but no blinds. Serious privacy concerns and at night one can see clearly from the outside. The resort area is good. Has different vantage points giving various views of the valley. Well equipped games room. Sit out and play areas. They have a disco as well. The pool is good too, not too big but good enough. The staff, from whatever little i interacted, were courteous. They serve high tea in the evenings but that's chargeable at rs. 295 per head So to sum it up. The place is good it's in direct competition with courtyard marriott that's just a fraction more in cost and makes it lose points on value for money. Anything more, it's overpriced.
