Travelodge by Wyndham Madison Heights MI

Adding my review here since they unfortunately delete those when they don’t like them. Our stay here was awful. They asked me to leave them a five star review when I arrived. Absolutely not. Unsafe. Dishonest. Spent a half night here and went somewhere else. Groups of people in one room standing outside with pot and walking around tapping on windows (including ours). There is no WiFi. No security. Our door couldn’t even lock. They told us they have to check everyone’s belongings who stays there. Short bald guy went through our things despite us telling him what he was doing was illegal. Didn’t believe I or my wife were medics. Felt like I was checking into a prison camp. Room was filthy. Dust everywhere, the bathroom fan didn’t work nor did the light. Burning smell came from the light fixtures, urine smell from the walls. We ended up leaving when several cop cars pull up and went in the exact room we were uncomfortable about. No one at the desk after midnight so we had no choice but to leave for our safety. 70 bucks wasted.

Where do I start. I was scared to stay here. Unfortunately we couldnt try through the night because we saw so many dead animals and the risk was too high. The door didnt lock. The door frame was ripped from the wall so even with the latch on it could open. floor was sticky. Sheets were stained, the tub was disgustingly dirty, enamel was stripped. I didnt want to get a wart if I showered. Lamps were crooked. escort was obviously next door to us. air conditioner was broken and the buttons . Ive probably contracted a disease. felt so dirty. STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE, highly recommend staying in your vehicle.
