Kstdc Hotel Mayura Valley View Madikeri

Bad behaviour of the Travel desk person spoilt our trip. He shouted at my daughter just because we cancelled 1 auto ride. Amenities are average. Food is sub-standard. Not recommended. We have more options. The hotel is not well maintained. The basin has cracks.

Madikeri is about 250 kms from Bangalore and takes about 6 hrs from Bangalore with a lunch stop. Hotel Mayurya Valley Resort is a bit away from the main centre. Offers great view of the valley from the room. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. People are very helpful. Travel desk service is there providing local site seeing services. Restaurants are in the ground floor. Outside seating arrangement is available providing an excellent view of the valley. Ample parking space is there.

We stayed here for a night. Had booked Delixe suit. However the suit assigned to us was in the corner of the ground floor and there was absolutely no valley view. Valley view is only available from 1st floor rooms or one need to go to restaurant. Location is good. It’s next to Raja Seat Garden. However furniture in the room has outlived its life and needs urgent maintenance. Due to rainy season, blankets were moist and staff tried to assist after our persistent requests to iron it. They had small travel size iron. Nothing much improved but at least they tried. There wasn’t much spread in the break fast apart from idli and poha. Omelette was also chargeable. Room was spacious and had 3rd bed. There were 2 very low height chairs as against sofa and dining table which is generally provided in suite. I would not prefer to visit this property again though Coorg is extremely beautiful and I would certainly be visiting Coorg again

Had booked AC Deluxe Suite rooms, undoubtedly rooms were huge and had a proper valley view with large windows. No complain about the room , its just that please dont expect modern facilities in the room and the washroom. People at the reception were always welcoming and hotel is vast with gardens, play area and swimming pool. But upkeep and maintenanace of the hotel should be worked upon. It could turn to be the best property considering its location(closest to Raja Seat) and the size. Breakfast menu was very limited, service was not accomodating and very slow at dinner time. Since its a state runned property, prices were on a lower side including the drinks. For budget travellers in Coorg, its the perfect place to stay but with less expecetations:)

This is a lovely government-run hotel. Fantastic location on Stuart Hill, about a kilometer from the bus stand. The hotel and the rooms overlook a deep valley - fantastic views! The grounds are well maintained. There is spacious parking and a swimming pool. The hotel also has a full-fledged bar and a restaurant. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and decently equipped. While there is a hot water kettle in the room, there are no coffee/tea sachets. Would be good if they kept that too. Also, have an enclosure for the shower portion in the bathroom so that water does not splash everywhere. Food was good. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was good. Only issue was the timings - breakfast starts only at 8. Someone who has planned for an early start will have to forgo breakfast. On the flip side - the wifi signal is poor/zero in some of the rooms.

Kajal was very helpful with kids activities. Participated in fun activities, it was good and for parents and kids. Food was relatively good but little expensive. Musical night and barbecue with added to the charm. Thanks.
