Clearwater Lakeshore Motel

Nice and clean, nicely located. Good breakfast’s service. I would definitely recommend it for a short staying. This hotel is way better than what I was expecting. The checking process was quick and easy (there is a real person at the front desk). I would definitely return to this hotel

Very nice clean room, quiet , affordable , free parking in front of room , easy check in and check out . Our room had balcony , facing water . You could see the mighty Mack bridge , you could see Mackinac island . They have s’mores every evening , weather permitting. . Would stay again !

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and I really wanted to love this place based on the reviews, but it was just a okay visit. We checked in and had a problem with our first room with the slider not locking and we were given another room. We appreciated this. The mattress was decent, but the bedding was terrible!! I am not exaggerating at all when I say that the sheets are so threadbare that you can watch the tv through the top sheet, as I did this! The towels are in the same very rough shape. There is no water pressure, so ladies be warned if you have long hair. It will take you some time to rinse out your shampoo and conditioner. From 7-10 they advertise that they have bon-fires on the beach. Their beach area is nice, but the chairs out there are very, very flimsy and they don't sit right at all to enjoy the fire. The fire itself is also sorely lacking. The barest amount of wood is put into the pits and it is burned down and almost out by 8:30/8:45, so if you are late coming back from dinner and think you are going to go down to the beach to relax for a little bit by the fire, get that illusion out of your head. They do not add more wood at all!! After all the reviews about the breakfast, we really thought that it would be at least nice. It wasn't! There are donuts, a make your own waffle, powdered eggs, oatmeal and a coffee and orange juice dispenser. While there is nothing wrong with any of these items, the reviews are clearly over the top regarding these very simple items. Not a terrible place, but manage your expectations.

Make sure to ask for a lake view. Avoid building 6. The bon fire and s'mores on the beach were nice with a view of the bridge. The staff was helpful. Our TV in room 606 was not always functional with the remote. The bathroom could use an update and the control of the water temp on the shower was challenging.

We stayed here for one night before heading over to Mackinac Island for a few nights. The room was very clean, the view of Mackinac Bridge was great. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was actually edible. We will definitely stay here again. Next time we are in the area.

From check in to check out, staff was great. Loved our little balcony overlooking the beach, fire pits and water. The view was stunning. The hydrangeas lining the grounds were impressive. Standard fare at the breakfast but we didn’t go hungry and the s’mores in the evening were a sweet touch.

Beautiful view of the bridge from our balcony. Gracious staff. Great room. The makings for s'mores were provided along with a fire pit on the beach. Wonderful sunset view. The room was well appointed. Delicious breakfast provided. Highly recommended.

This is the third time we have stayed at your hotel. We thoroughly enjoy every visit. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean and spacious The views of the lake and Mackinaw bridge are awesome especially in the evening around the campfires. We were very pleased with the quality of the complimentary breakfast you provided. Could have used a few more hangers to hang up our jackets but that was a minor inconvenience in comparison to everything else you offered.

First Choice. Look no further. Clearwater Lakeshore Owner's are very friendly and keen to help. The motel is comfortable and clean. The Lake front rooms have balconies and offer a great view. We look forward to our next trip to Mackinaw City and we would definitely stay at Clearwater Lakeshore.
