This hotel has so much potential. But, it has not been maintained, and it is very apparent the second you walk in the doors. The musty smell accompanied by the smell of mold is the first thing you will notice. The carpets are not cleaned daily. The rooms are outdated with very visible stains on the comforter. The rooms are very muggy and the air feels wet. I don't think the AC units are properly working. The daily room service was horrible. They brought in new towels but didn't take the dirty towels with them. They didn't change sheets or make the beds. They didn't vacuum the carpets. The pool area looks great in pictures -- but they are deceiving. The two main water slides are broken with permanent barriers over the outlets. The pool that the water slides exit into has a foot or so of stagnant, nasty water. The rope crossing is not installed as shown in the pictures. And the pools are cold with murky waters. The pool area in general is extremely hot and humid, and you can see visible mold in the pool area. There was a group of us, around 15 rooms in total, and most all of us were sick by the end of the trip (5 nights total). It could have been a bug, but many of the symptoms were consistent with exposure to mold. I would stay away and find another hotel in the area. Don't let the outdated pictures fool you like they did us!

Used to be nice maybe, but now just in need of repair. No longer have a working waterpark just a couple of cold pools. No cocktail lounge. No breakfast. No snack bar. All the things that got this place good in reviews past are no longer available other than the location and the beach. It would have been nice for the price and location but too many things look broken, have been closed off, and /or are no longer available making it a false promise and disappointing. Staff is nice. Building facilities are not.

The hotel was ok. It was not noted on ******* when I booked that the water park would be closed. They did offer a solution of a hotel in the area having a water park we could use or using the pool next door. But, we really did not want to drive down the road for another water park.
Two of the nights we were there other guests partied well into the early morning hours out on the beach close to the hotel. Loud music and voices. Hard to sleep.
Other than those two issues the hotel was easy to get to and had a friendly staff.

Perfect lakeside view. Peace and quiet! Love the campfires up and down the beach.
