Charming hotel. Very clean with comfy beds, lots of amenities and a wonderful staff. Also, the food in the restaurant (and I am very picky) was excellent. Right in the middle of all of the fun things. Perfect feel for the island. And the views are amazing!!!

We stayed on the second floor 4 nights in a small room with a queen size bed. Nice view of the park, street and fort. The cleaning staff did an excellent job. The music from the bar was annoying until we complained and they turned the volume down on our second day. The bathroom is very small and a separate make up station in the main room next to the bed..There is no grab bar or anti slip strips in the bathtub. No comfortable chairs in case you want to watch TV and not lay on the bed. Disappointed in the food at the Pink Pony. Not likely to rebook a stay at the Chippewa Hotel in the future.

We were lucky to score a corner room overlooking Ft. Mackinac and Main Street. Wonderful to hear the horse's clip clops. Best personnel; spotlessly clean. It is much prettier on the front side than the water side. I highly recommend this hotel; just as charming as the Palace Hotel in Madrid.

Good stay at a reasonable price. Very clean, fairly quiet, beds were a little stiff for our liking. Housekeeping was great, room cleaned up each night for us, with candy on the bed as a treat. Nice touch. Easy check in and check out. Elevator was very small, kind of slow. Fortunately we were only on the 2nd floor, so we just took the stairs. Only reason for the 4 stars was the live music that went late into the night each night. Being only on the 2nd floor, it was like they were playing right outside our door. Funny thing about that was we signed off on a "Quiet Time" clause of the stay contract prior that gave times from 11pm til morning. I guess its only for guests, not bands. We'd stay again, but I'd ask for an upper floor.

Outstanding stay! I'm a travel agent and can be critical in my observations. Not the case here! Will only stay at The Chippewa Hotel again while on the island. Staff (especially Matthew in reservations and front desk!!!) is outstanding and goes over and above to make sure your stay is perfect. Clean, fun hotel in the best location. You won't regret staying here!

So glad we picked the balcony room, it was fabulous! The weather was gorgeous. The pink pony downstairs was so delicious for breakfast and dinner. We also had appetizers and Rum Runners for lunch. All in all it was a very relaxing time. Their rooms and attention to details is priceless. Would differently recommend!

Beautiful hotel! We stayed in a water view suite. Room was fantastic and bed was more comfortable than most. Room was clean and well furnished. View of the water was awesome. Staff was the best! Attached restaurant and bar is spot on. We’ll be back!

Loved the bedding! Location was great and the food at Pink Pony was delicious . We were on the 2nd floor which was a problem with the band noise. Could hear the loud bass. Ask for the third floor. Loved the customer service! Location was great. We overlooked main street. They have rooms overlooking the water too. We needed two beds and the only room left was the one we took. It was nice overlooking main street.

This is an excellent hotel on Mackinac Island. The Chippewa is a high end hotel. Typically their porters get our luggage to our room before we have finished checking into the hotel-and the checkin process is easy and efficient). Many hotels on the island have lake views, the Chippewa is lakefront. From their lakefront suites you can watch the tourists come and go from the ferries and also watch the comings and goings in the marina. Their suites are large, ours had two queen beds in the bedroom with plenty of space to get around and the living area was spacious as well as the balcony. As a nice touch they do offer "turn down" service in the eveing and the milk and cookies were greatly apprediated. Their staff is excellent.
