The Hotel Iroquois is a step back in time. It is beautifully maintained with attention to detail. Staff without exception are friendly and helpful. The dining room has beautiful views of the harbor as well as delicious food. The location is perfect. It is my new favorite hotel on Mackinac Island.

Room 101 Room with a view and patio. Awesome hotel. She's a beauty! Check in and out was a breeze. Young lady was beyond helpful. Porer delivered our luggage from the ferry right to our room. Poryer also returns luggage back to the ferry. Very nice young man. Room was beyond comfortable. And cute as a button. Bathroom well appointed. Thick soft towels. Bed just like home. Open the doors ( with screens) at night and let the breeze in. Only con was our balcony opened up on a public park/ beach area so daytime noise could get a bit loud. Housekeeping stops early evenings with water and mints. Only con I can think of is purely petsonal...TV is mounted about 12 inches too low for laying in bed to watch Breakfast basic. Cold meat/cheese. Muffins, breads. Fruit, cereal parfait. Yogurt which is good spread on thecsweet breads. Hard boiled eggs and fruit. All very good. The view from the dining room is stellar.

Tradition. LOVE, LOVE this hotel! It is at the end of the main street on the water, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This was our fifth visit and it is still a great experience. The hotel is elegant but not the tourist traffic of the Big hotel on the island. We always get a room with a balcony and enjoy our morning coffee and night cap there! Worth it. Their dining room is wonderful! Service is great! And their bar is so much fun, it is recessed and you meet so many wonderful people there. They have a large patio out back where you can eat. The gardens are stunning! Thank you Iroquois for another great stay.

As repeat guests we absolutely enjoy our visits. From the lemon aid and cookies to the well kept rooms and caring staff, this is the nicest accommodation with a great location. The porters meet you at the ferry and take luggage to the hotel room. We also bring our own bicycles for travel around the island. This visit we enjoyed perfect sunny days and mildly cool nights. So nice to open the windows and appreciate the air overlooking the water. It's always a pleasure in the evening when the last ferry leaves with day trippers.

First stay on the island-now we can’t imagine staying anyplace else! Clean, quiet, comfortable, welcoming! Located at the edge of town-perfect location! It is not your average breakfast buffet, onsite pastry chef prepares the food each morning, along with the afternoon cookies as a treat. They have water to send you out for the day. The porter to and from the ferry and the room are incomparable. Yes, the steps are steep and narrow! We had a “lake view” room, but is was partially obstructed by another portion of the building, but seemed the same price as the other “lake view” rooms. The accommodations on the island are expensive. But overall a wonderful experience.

From the moment we checked in, my family and I were treated just like that, family. Every single person working there is so friendly, helpful, and just lovely! Our room was absolutely stunning, with no detail left unattended. I’ve never stayed at a place with Frette robes and slippers (I felt like a princess!), the beds and in room amenities were such high quality, and the nightly turndown service with the yummiest chocolates was such a beautiful surprise at the end of long days exploring! Beyond the room, we enjoyed brunch on the patio that overlooked the lake (the views were equally as good as the meal), and grabbed a couple of delicious drinks at the bar, where the bartenders really knew how to make a martini! We’ve been to Mackinac before, but this was our first time staying here and I can’t wait to come back (although I might not leave the room if we do )… thank you Hotel Iroquois!

The Hotel is so charming. The gardens are beautiful! We had continental breakfast on the patio and inside the Carriage Dining Room. The room at the front desk and lounges has beautiful bouquets. Cookies and lemonade or cold water were a welcome sight on a hot day.

Hotel Iroquois is an excellent hotel for a stay on Mackinac Island. The rooms are well appointed. The staff is friendly and efficient and it is in walking distance of restaurants and attractions. The restaurant was not open when we were there but breakfast was served daily and it was very good. Luggage service from the ferry was fast and efficient. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was small, but very clean and cozy. We had a small balcony that was great for looking out at the lake. it was at the end of the business area, so it was quiet. I would definitely go there again!
