Riviera Hotel Macau

The service was very polite. They offer free shuttle buses to Portas do Cerco and New Yaohan. The hotel is a few hundred meters from the Barra Light Rail Station, which is convenient for getting to the airport. No need for a power adapter. The egg tarts were delicious; besides the complimentary ones from the hotel, I bought some every day and packed two boxes to take home when I left. The breakfast isn't on par with five-star hotels in mainland China, but it's comparable to breakfasts in the UK. The dinner chef was excellent, and the ingredients were high-quality; every dish suited my taste. You can watch fireworks from the room. The biggest issue is that while there are windows, they can't be opened. I was surprised to learn this is the hotel where the leaders stayed during Macao's handover.

The hotel environment is great, facilities are complete and clean, and room hygiene is well-maintained. Especially, the cleaning staff are attentive and dedicated. The only downside is that the breakfast was basically the same for all four days of our stay.

The room was clean, tidy, and quiet. The only downside was a drainage issue in the bathroom. The front desk staff were very friendly and readily answered all our questions. The price was also very reasonable.

I booked this hotel specifically to watch the fireworks, and the experience was truly fantastic! It's situated on the hillside, and the room window looked directly out at Sai Van Lake and the Macau Tower. It was so great not having to squeeze into the crowds down by the waterfront; we could just sit comfortably in our room and enjoy the entire display. While it's a bit far, watching each firework burst right next to the Macau Tower still felt incredibly immersive. The room was spotless, the surroundings were very quiet, and they even offered a free shuttle bus 🚌. Plus, they gave out complimentary mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Highly recommended!

It was pretty good. The hotel is quite old, but it faces the Macau Tower directly, making it an amazing spot to watch the fireworks. If you're not there for the fireworks, it's still fine for an occasional stay just for the experience—after all, the Chief Executive lives right next door.

The hotel's hygiene and service were excellent, and it was very quiet and comfortable. However, getting from the A-Ma Temple station to the hotel requires climbing a small hill, which was unbearable in the hot weather – I practically took a sweat bath! 😂 The front desk can help call taxis, making getting around quite convenient. The hotel requires a 300 deposit. Coincidentally, there was a Mid-Autumn Festival fireworks show during my stay, and the hotel's fourth floor offered a spectacular view. The breakfast was the same both days, and I particularly enjoyed the oatmeal.

The decor is incredibly outdated, I have no idea what era it's from. And the fridge is one of those old-fashioned models, incredibly noisy. It would hum for a bit, then go quiet, then hum again. I even removed the power card and it still had power. I couldn't sleep until 3 AM, so I got up and unplugged the fridge, then it was hot all night. Over 800 a night, and I've never slept in such a terrible hotel. The staff, however, were excellent – patient and enthusiastic. The view of the Macau Tower from the 4th floor is quite good though.

Huge thanks to Hotel Riviera Macau for making my birthday so enjoyable and memorable! When I checked in, a staff member immediately wished me a 'Happy Birthday,' and when I got to my room, there was a birthday gift 🎁 prepared by the hotel, along with a handwritten note. It was incredibly thoughtful and touching! Every time I visit Macau, I choose to stay at Hotel Riviera. The environment, cleanliness, facilities, and service attitude are all excellent. I'll definitely choose Hotel Riviera again on my next trip! Five-star rating! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm back at the Harbourview Hotel! This time, I didn't realize the hotel shuttle's pick-up point had changed, so I waited around for ages. Ended up taking the bus instead. The room rates were a steal before the holidays, and the hotel is buzzing now with lots of guests checking in. The staff were all very friendly, and the room was spotlessly clean. I'll definitely be back again.
