I booked a night at Clifton Park Hotel very last minute as I'd travelled to the coast and fancied staying over. I telephoned up to enquire about staying the night and the two gentleman who I spoke to were both so helpful and lovely. I arrived just after the check in time of 2pm. Check in was very quick and the lovely gentleman explained all I needed to know about my stay. I have stayed at the hotel, but a long time ago. It was lovely to be back to enjoy the beautiful decor and the high standard in a hotel such as Clifton Park. The reception area is beautiful with plenty of seats to relax in. I was allocated a single room on the first floor. I was so pleasantly surprised with my room. Some singles are very small with a little bed and drabby furnishings, but my room was light and beautifully decorated with lovely, quality furnishings. I had a room overlooking the front which was great to people watch. The bathroom was small but again, decorated beautifully, with lovely toiletries and plenty of toilet roll! As my room was so nice, I relaxed for more time than I initially planned in it. The hotel is perfectly located, with the seafront only being one street away. Buses run into Blackpool and Lytham and are very regular. St Anne's centre is a five or ten minute walk away. I loved the pool and spa. I spent a whole hour in there, just enjoying the complete and utter relaxation. I was the only person in there the whole time! It was just beautiful and just what I needed to rejuvenate. The lounge overlooking the pool is perfect. I spent a lot of time in there doing very little. They play really nice music in the lounges on low to add to that relaxing feeling. I had a drink in the bar. It was less than £2 for a lemonade! I'm used to paying £4+ for a soft drink in hotels these days, so I was happy. I must say the staff are brilliant. Every single member of staff I came across smiled and said hello and made conversation. I was made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was served from 8.30pm at weekends. I went down at that time before it got too busy. They take orders for fried and poached eggs, kippers and other things, but most of it is buffet style, which suits me down to a tee. They serve tea and coffee to the table. I loved the choice on the buffet. I opted for prunes, mandarins and grapefruit with a bit of yogurt and a glass of orange juice, followed by scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and beans. It was delicious. I was pleased to see other solo travellers at breakfast too and got chatting to a lady on the table next to mine. It's the sort of place where you can talk to other guests or keep yourself to yourself. After breakfast, I enjoyed time in the garden and the Dolphin Lounge (overlooking the poo) before check out at 10am. I really wanted to stay longer, but I will return very soon.

Both me and my Daughter stayed here Friday to Monday.. A little break away.. We were made welcome from the moment we walked in until the minute we left... The staff are so helpful.. Nothing is too much trouble.. Mr.John Kay who is the General Manager is a Gentleman who always checked on us and other people staying there to make sure everything was to our liking... The food was amazing.. All home made.. The hotel was so so clean and pleasant.. We will definitely be returning.. A massive thankyou to John and his staff... The hotel is a credit to you..

After a small blip which John the manager sorted the hotel is very nice we were in a large very nice bedroom which was very clean. The food was fantastic and very well presented I can recommend the salad it is huge and all very fresh with great ham. The entertainment on all three nights was very good and to mine and my wifes taste. The leisure facilities are very nice on both days there was only us two in the others do not know what they were missing. One final note the staff are so nice and very friendly .One of the staff plays the piano he was so good we could have listened to him all day .

The best place to go when you are single, the staff are efficient skilled but also friendly with it. If you do have any problems just tell the staff and they will do their utmost to solve it. They have excellent rooms but book early to get the best as they are so popular. I have been there 15 times and because the staff are so good it feels like home. They do a good breakfast and a lovely evening meal and the homemade soup is always great . But the desserts are extra special as they are made by their chef who was so kind and made my favourite carrot cake. They have a great bar at reasonable prices and a nice wine list. The entertainment they have is always great

It's a hotel of two halves, the public rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, the evening meals were delicious but the breakfast buffet is a free for all. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the evening entertainment was good. The location is great not far from the seafront and close to St Anne's town centre and local bus stops. However the corridors and some rooms are very dated and could do with re decorating and some refurbishment. The room cleanliness could also be better.

Stayed over night, bed only. Room was fine, had what we needed and was clean with USB ports for charging phones, etc. Hotel located 3 miles from Lytham Festival - which was good for us. Highlight of the stay was definately how friendly and accommodating the staff were, nothing was a bother, from allowing us to sit in bar having drinks until late, providing water and juice at 6am, being flexible with parking and also phoning us a taxi in the morning. All in all a good stay.
