A Little Gem
I stayed at the Cumbria Hotel for 4 nights with my 2 small dogs. This is the first time I have stayed anywhere by myself and was very nervous about doing so. What a lovely homely friendly little guest house this is. Both myself and my dogs were made very welcome, the single room was great with single bed, en-suite, tv, kettle, tea and coffee making facilities. I Had 4 great nights here, I slept really well, the bed was comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The hotel is close to the beach, the island cinema, swimming pool, shops and plenty of places to eat.
Both Doug and Dianne are very welcoming (despite me calling Doug, Greg all week) they were both happy to help with anything and provide an excellent continental breakfast all in with the price.
My only little issue was the toilet was loose and on the first night I nearly fell off it as it was a bit wobbly. I mentioned it to Greg (Doug)the morning after and he explained they were waiting for the plumber to come back and secure it to the floor but to do this the floor needed to be taken up and extra blocks put under the floor to stop the screws coming out. This is the only reason I couldn’t give 5 out of 5.
I will definitely be coming back to this little Gem in St Annes, hopefully a few times a year now I have found it.
