Really enjoyed our stay , clean friendly easy check in and out . Staff very friendly , buffett breakfast was lovely , short walk into the town , traffic is very busy plenty of little shops to browse and the locals are very welcoming . We will be back .

Really pleasant hotel in the heart of Lyndhurst, great location for the town, clean rooms, fresh towels, comfy pillows, tea, coffee and biscuits, friendly staff, great service at breakfast, good value, would return here, traffic noise in the morning.

Mad hatter 21/Aug Lovely room, bright and very clean freshly decorated I would guess. A double and a single bed with lots of room. The bathroom was spotless and shower exceptably. Gerneraly a very pleasant room. Breakfast was good too and staff lovely. Dogs very welcome including a sausage. On the down side. The beds have foot rails so made the bed a little short for me, being over 6.5. Traffic noise was intrusive in the evening and from 7am in the morning, it did not bother us we sleep early and up early too. But some might find it to much. Top of the did not like's. Where the bed mattress,which were poor quantity and although not totally uncomfortabe had the promise of being dreadful very shortly, feeling along the sides revealed the springs which could be played like a harp. These mattresses spoil a very nice room. Overall a nice stay and nice room, spoilt by a short bed and poor mattress for me.

Hotel très bien situé pour visiter la New Forest avec un parking réservé pour les clients ce qui est très appréciable. Le petit centre ville est à 3 minutes à pied et dispose de toutes les commodités. Par contre l'accueil est un gros point noir. Aucun sourire, aucune attention, on a vraiment l'impression d'être un numéro y compris au petit déjeuner. Au départ après avoir attendu à la réception on m'a dit de simplement poser les clefs sur le comptoir. Le petit-déjeuner est en menu unique servi à l'assiette, pas mal mais le buffet n'est pas genial avec café Filtre pas très bon

Staff welcoming and the hotel is recently refurbished and comfy but when booking I called the hotel and asked if there was an EV charger as I would need to charge my vehicle before leaving and heading home. I was told there was an EV charger and it would be £25 for an overnight charge. That would be rather expensive however I accepted I would have to pay a premium for on site charging. However, when arriving at the hotel I was rather dismayed to find that there is no EV charger. You have to use a 3 pin plug charging cable which is no good. Unfortunately I had booked and paid online so am unable to find anywhere else to stay. I’ve now got to find somewhere to charge my car!!

Good budget hotel. Room Ok. Good basic breakfast. Advertised bar, is actually a few bottles stored behind reception. EV drivers beware - the advertised car charging point is not an EV charging point, it is an external 13 amp socket. Luckily proper 30kWh chargers are available at hotel 5 minutes away, and car park 5 minutes away. But distracts from the benefit of a charger in the hotel you are staying at . Reason for only giving 4/5.

The room was overlooking the road, it was hot and stuffy and the road noise made sleep impossible. The room should simply not be let out. The rest of the place is fine, though it is a guest house rather than a hotel, it had no lounge or restaurant.

Friendly welcome, lovely looking room although the double glazing didn't seem to be doing it's job as we were at the front of the hotel on the main road and could hear every single vehicle that went past. Breakfast was very good, hot, fresh and speedy service. Ironically the dining room was also on the main road but the double glazing there prevented any traffic noise.

Lovely clean hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. We stayed in Kangaroo room which was on the top floor. It was quirky, with a split level floor, had a double and single bed, en-suite bathroom, TV, tea and coffee making equipment etc. If I could find any fault it was that the metal framed beds squeaked when you moved but that was minor. It was a short walk to the High Street where all the shops and restaurants are located.
