It was ok for 1 night, very basic and should have been £40 not the £60 i paid.

It was a useful location and easy place to travel to the south and north.

The beds in our family room (Room 11) were all old and extremely uncomfortable. The double bed creaked and groaned all night long, and it wasn't the person in the bed, who tosses a lot. Underneath the sofa bed was full of detritus. The sofa bed itself was as comfortable as I imagine it would be to sleep in a ditch after a heavy night. Prodded and poked by the metal bars under the paper thin mattress. Toilet rolls were as thin as tracing paper and very small sheets , reminding me of my school days. Be careful how much pressure you use to wipe, as you may be tickling yourself soon enough. Brown fingers are a risk. There was only one bin, which was in the bathroom. There was only one tiny sachet of shampoo and conditioner to be shared by three people. There were only two single use cups for refreshments, to be shared between three people. Grouting on the bathroom tiles were covered in black mould. The bath panel was rotten. There was no WiFi, despite advertising that there was. When we asked at reception, we were told that they hadn't had WiFi for many months as the WiFi had been upgraded but the hotel didn't have the up to date systems to run it. The hotel shouldn't advertise facilities that it doesn't have, false advertising, which is against the law. The door to the room slammed like something out of Prisoner Cell Block H, the only thing that was missing was the jangling keys. You'd need muscles like Arnie to push open the door. The view from the window was something else. Pathetic really. Severely poor standards all round. This hotel needs shutting down.

Friendly reception and helpful staff after a long trip and only halfway to our destination. Thank you for your advice and helpful attitude. The room was basic but clean and comfortable with a checkout time that left us feeling not rushed in the morning.

I’ve stayed here several times. But on this occasion the smell of dope would have knocked you out. I reported it to reception who already knew because others had reported it.

You get what you pay for. It was fine for a late night arrival and early leave on a long journey. I was unlucky enough to be there when other customers thought it's okay to shout and talk loudly in the corridor at 1am and 4am. They obviously had a group staying in different rooms. I could hear all conversations clearly in the corridor and reception. It's very tired inside.
