What a beautiful venue. We had a family get together (30 people) and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. It’s a beautiful building set in beautiful grounds. The photos don’t do it justice. I’d definitely stay there again. 5 stars is not a high enough rating.

We recently spent 3 nights at this lovely property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is very well presented and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The staff were exceptionally friendly, kind and supportive which only enhanced our stay. A great place to spend some time.

We recently stayed two nights and had such a fab time. We love the setting, the waterside gardens create such a tranquil place to sit and enjoy a drink or meal. The bar has a great vibe, the menu has lots to choose from and the staff are engaging and knowledgeable. All in all a first class experience, our new favourite place to stay. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so special.

The Experience wasn't good! Table 201 on 1st July 2025 We booked a table for 4 people at 1315, arrived on time & ordered drinks, looked at the menu. We selected the "lunch set menu which was £19.99 for two courses" Three of us ordered pork sausages & one of us had the summer salad. All around us people were being served, the food came, was eaten and the tables cleared. We asked how our order was progressing. An hour ticked past. After enquiring at least six more times over another hour we were finally served our food at 1525! The sausages were good, the salad was merely leaves with two pieces of tomatoes and three pieces of cheese (£19.50!) Then we ordered puddings which fortunately arrived fairly quickly as everyone else had left. Then the bill arrived. After we inspected it we asked for it to be broken down individually. We were overcharged by £21! For a pub/restaurant of this statue this is very naughty practise! We were planning on booking to spend Xmas Eve & Xmas day there but we have changed our minds

Recently we decided to go for lunch having read a report from muddy stilettos saying highly rated. The location and grounds were lovely. I have to say that service was very slow. After sitting at our table and ordering starters and main courses off a lunch menu we waited for 40 mins for our starter to arrive. After finishing starter we waited another 40 mins for mains to arrive. Really not good enough as it wasn’t that busy. Couldn’t risk ordering a dessert. We thought adding a service charge was one step too far and declined to pay it. All in all not the best experience ☹️

The restaurant service for food was so slow. Foods ok and plenty of tables. The gardens lovely but this place could be so much better. The staff are pleasant but seem to be overworked and under pressure.
