This is my favorite hotel in Tasmania, cheap and comfortable. It is not luxurious, but it has everything, and is clean and simple.
The hotel staff was friendly and polite, and also told us a lot of information about nearby attractions. You can cook in the shared kitchen or in your own kitchenette.

Room provides everything you need. Big space, comfy bed, towels, shower kit, fridge and microwave. Owner is very helpful with late check-in. Peaceful neighbourhood and located not far from shopping/food areas.

We stayed at this motel for two nights, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. After checking in, we realized that clean blankets were missing for two people. When we contacted the motel at around 9 p.m. to request blankets, the response we received was shockingly unprofessional. The staff member sarcastically asked, "Do you think you're at home now? Do you want me to go to Kmart to get blankets for you?"
After about 10 minutes, he reluctantly went to the laundry and brought us two bedsheets and two blankets. While we eventually got what we needed, the rude and dismissive attitude was unacceptable. Basic hospitality and customer service should include ensuring that all guests have proper bedding without making them feel like an inconvenience.
Would not recommend this place unless they improve their service and professionalism.

The boss is very nice and will patiently answer any questions I have. The view from the hotel balcony is great. It is not far from downtown Hobart by car. The hotel has a public kitchenette where you can buy ingredients and cook your own food (the door will be locked at 7pm). There are also restaurants nearby.
