Emplacement magnifique et vues sur le fjord avec une eau couleur verte. Accueil très chaleureux et personnel très serviable. Je vous conseille le restaurant qui sert un repas gastronomique. Ponton invite a une baignade rafraîchissante. Le petit bémol manque d’isolation sonore dans les chambres. Les alentours reste une excellente surprise a découvrir .

We stopped at Hotel Skjolden for lunch, upon the recommendation of a Norwegian we met on the Solvorn/Ornes ferry. What a great tip! We were seated on the back deck, overlooking the beautiful fjord. We enjoyed a hamburger and delicious fishsoup. As we were the only diners, we enjoyed great service and a nice talk with the restaurant manager.

Die Lage des Hotels begeistert sofort. Bei schönem Wetter blickt man von der Sonnenterrasse direkt auf die malerische Umgebung mit dem Fjord und den hohen Bergen ringsherum. Siri, die Hotelchefin, besticht durch ihre Freundlichkeit, ihr Engagement für nachhaltiges Kochen im Hotel-Restaurant und durch ihre Hilfsbereitschaft, wenn man als Gast Fragen hat zur Gegend. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, zweckmäßig und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Bad ist ebenfalls sehr sauber und bietet Waschbecken und eine Duschkabine. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen und bietet für absolut jeden Geschmack etwas. Es wird Wert gelegt auf regionale Produkte und Umweltverträglichkeit. Vom Abendessen waren wir begeistert. Der Fisch war wunderbar zubereitet. Danke an den Koch 😀 ! Es gibt auch ein schönes Hallenbad. Vom Hotel aus kann man schöne Spaziergänge und auch Wanderungen machen. Einen großen Parkplatz gibt es direkt vor dem Hotel. Alle Räume des Hotels sind sehr stil- und liebevoll eingerichtet und gestaltet. Es ist ein sehr schöner Ort zum sich Wohlfühlen !

We loved this cute, historic hotel located right at the innermost corner of the sognefjord in the cute little town called Skjolden. My family and I were wanting an off the beaten path vacation in Norway, and Skjolden was just the place. Beautiful fjord views from the hotel and our room, and the host was so lovely and accomodating. When we were soaked from a hike, she was able to do our laundry and have it ready promptly the next morning. In addition, the food is delightful - we tried both the bar food and their restaurant both nights and one of our favorite dishes was from here. Highly recommend. It’s quite a simple, no-frills hotel with the rooms being quite plain, but you don’t need much when you have the beautiful fjord view.

Family owned, friendly, helpful staff .... The women owner gave us great info on where to hike. Beautiful views from the room and dinning room. The food was the best we had in three weeks in Norway. The 3 course menu was different every night. The rooms were nice, modern and very clean. Very relaxing sitting on the terrace before dinner with the view of the fjord. We travel every month in the summer to some European country and stay in a lot of very nice hotels. 4 and 5 Star hotels. I can highly recommend the Skjolden hotel.

We arrived the hotel Friday June 7th together with 3 other couples. Great hospitality and welcome. The location of the hotel is just perfect by the fjord and the view is so nice. Great lobby area and outside area to take it all in, and enjoy the place. Nice rooms, and make sure to order a room with sea view. Dinner was perfect, and all staff very friendly. Can be highly reccommended.

Stijlvol hotel in een prachtige omgeving in het centrum van Skjolden. Met name het uitzicht aan de achterzijde van het hotel met de goed onderhouden tuin in bijzonder. Rustige, relaxte sfeer in het hotel met vriendelijke ontvangst. Niet goedkoop.
