Um hotel com história mas que parou no tempo… tem piscina interior mas poderia ter jacuzzi ou banho turco. Mais vocacionado para famílias. Pequeno-almoço variado mas com pouca fruta natural.

This Grande Hotel is indeed grande! It is superbly maintained for a structure built in 1908. I stayed one night on a solo trip; it was definitely one of the best in Portugal. They have giant pools, both outdoor and (heated) indoor. The dinner was excellent and suprisingly reasonable. The bed was comfy and the parking was free. It's only got one elevator that I could see, but it was quick and quiet. The price in April was incredibly cheap! I had room and half board for under 100 Euros! It's a bit hard to get to, as it's about 18 km from Coimbra, mainly on back roads. You should try this place, I loved it!!!!

Amazing location, easy access, comfortable and quite rooms, plenty of activities on the premises and within. Delicious Portuguese cuisine, great wine selection and of course a friendly staff to ensure you an unforgettable experience. Fully recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As part of an organized group tour, we stayed here for one night. To me, it felt like the best days of this hotel are passed. The room felt a bit dingy. Humidity was high during our stay and the room had a certain smell. Beds were hard. Dinner was really not great but the breakfast was fantastic. There wasn't much to do or see in the small town. We walked to the spring of S. Joao but that was about all we could do. Didn't bring swim wear.

We wouldn't go back because the breakfast was not good. Scrambled eggs OK, watermelon, presunto (raw ham) ... Rest of the hot breakfast other than eggs seemed heated up bulk buy ready prepped, coffee not good, juice not good, fruit rough cut, some of the nuts stale. The indoor pool is amazing, was totally ours at 9am, 30 degrees, beautiful. Make sure you bring a swimming hat, obligatory, typically in Portugal, they sell them at the general hotel reception, where you also have to collect swimming towels. Rooms a sort of masculine design, not beautiful, comfortable and functional. Disabled wheelchair access steep and in places little turning space. Staff mixed, some delightful, some rude.

Very well located, in the middle of the town (with pleasant and peaceful surroundings) and next to the spas which are connected to the hotel by a tunnel. The rooms are spacious and decorated in a classic and simple way. The bathroom is not practical as the door hits the toilet and in fact it is much more useful to have a shower than a bath or to install a bath using a PVC or glass screen and not a curtain. The breakfast is very good, varied. The restaurant is also good, being a good option for those who don't want to leave the hotel. The indoor pool is very good, with good dimensions and a fantastic water temperature. The staff is friendly and efficient.

Very beautiful hotel full of charm, very clean rooms, excellent service, very complete and varied breakfast. We only found the price for renting towels (very small) for the indoor pool and caps to be very high, but everything else was excellent and I will recommend this hotel.

Positive: Indoor swimming pool. Gymnasium. Reasonable rooms. Location and surroundings. Friendly staff, super accessible. Breakfast. To have lunch. Welcome bottles of water. To improve: Replace plastic water bottles with glass. Building starts to need some maintenance (exterior painting, dirty carpets). Exaggerated price of meals (€25/person) for dinner. Pool towels cost €1.5/person. Cost of bathrobes for the pool €5 / Person. No slippers (we're talking about a 4*). Hotel at maximum capacity, there was no parking. Only one elevator which is very little toilet in the room with a tall bathtub, should be replaced with a shower.

Good. I called the hotel to ask if they could make a little surprise breakfast for my sister. As she and her boyfriend are regular customers (they go there every year) it would be nice to see her birthday today. The receptionist didn't even make an effort to try to do the slightest thing. I know I said it just for the moment, but I also just needed a candle and some cake for breakfast. But for the receptionist this was impossible.

One-night stay with the Luso Zen program. This program includes dinner with drinks and 1 hour in the thermal spa, which is accessed through a tunnel in the hotel. excellent dinner with 6 dishes to choose from, great desserts and the wine from the Bairrada hotel that we drank was a good white. I recommend this program

Great family stay, the children were able to play both in the games room and in the indoor pool. The surroundings made for very pleasant walks. In terms of gastronomy, the Hotel has high marks and the region offers high quality and diverse solutions.

I stayed at the hotel for a week, the staff was 5 stars, as were the rooms and the food of different types, with impeccable desserts. The great indoor and outdoor pool, and connection to the thermal spa. Thank you very much for the experience.
