We spent a wonderful 3 days at South Court Inn for our wedding anniversary. Our hosts, Shannon and Joe, could not have been more welcoming. Their attention to detail, recommendations for dining and activities, were spot on. They have a true gift for hosting. We knew we in for a good stay when we were also greeted by two other couples who are regulars, on their nth return stays. A glass of wine and snacks were waiting for us on our arrival. Morning coffee and tea room service, outstanding breakfasts that carried us through the day, and afternoon snacks are all a part of the hospitality they provide. The common areas are warm and inviting, the rooms comfortable, with spacious grounds for gathering or relaxing. The downtown area is within walking distance, with several restaurants and shops. The Inn is a 10 minute drive to the entrance to Shenandoah National Park. We were definitely spoiled! Can’t wait to return!

I cannot recommend this place enough! I am so grateful that the Mimsym Inn was not available as this B & B was so superior to what that would have been. Lovely hosts, coffee on trays served early. Glass of wine & snacks on arrival. Beautiful seating inside and outside to relax. Books, chess table....I could go on. If you are in Luray (without children), stay here. It is within walking distance to town and a moderate drive to the entrance to Skyline drive/Shenandoah park. The remodeled bathroom even had a heated floor...who does that except owners that continue to try to elevate your experience.

We really enjoyed our stay here and both decided it really was one of the nicest bed and breakfasts we have visited. The decor, room theming, breakfasts and afternoon snacks were beyond our expectations. My husband loved all the little hidden touches in the Expeditionist room-almost like being in an Escape Room looking for clues! And it really did have the comfiest chair in the house. The hosts were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and the breakfasts were delicious. We spent a day hiking on Skyline Drive and returned to a nice dinner at the Chophouse. The only sad note of our anniversary weekend was that the Main Street Flavors ice cream shop was not open during our visit. But the rest of the weekend more than made up for it. Highly recommend!

Charming, lovely, classic and that just starts describing the hosts. The inn instills a sense of calm and serenity. The attention to detail is inspiring. We stayed in the Huntsman. Each room is themed. Mass cudos to Shannon who not only is one of the host/owners but is an excellent chef as well. Breakfast each morning was creative, ample and most of all absolutely delicious! Excellent venue for couples, solo or friends. I am already trying to figure out how (and when) we can return.

South Court Inn, a revived Victorian manse nestled in Luray, Virginia, is a delightful alternative to cookie-cutter hotels with impersonal service. The young proprietors, Joe and Shannon (both military vets), provide guests with a memorable experience. The light-filled, spacious rooms are furnished with Victorian-era pieces as well as modern comforts. Bathrooms and linens are pristine. If nothing else, Shannon's gourmet breakfasts and afternoon homemade treats justify a stay at South Court Inn next time you visit Virginia's Shenandoah.

Excellent experience! Perfect location for the Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park and a bunch of other attractions. Perfectly appointed sleeping rooms and shared areas. Beautiful grounds and an especially excellent breakfast.

South Court Inn was een van de charmantste B&B's waar we ooit verbleven. Shannon en Joe de liefste gastheren die je je wensen kan. Het huis is prachtig en met veel zorg ingericht. Alle kamers hebben hun eigen thema en de bedden slapen zalig. Bij aankomst werden we zeer welkom geheten met een lekker glaasje wijn en een kleine versnapering. Het voelde gelijk als een warm bad. Het ontbijt aan de prachtig gedekte tafel is elke ochtend een feest. We kregen veel heel goede tips wat er te verkennen is in de mooie omgeving van Luray en Shenandoah National Park. Wanneer wij na een bijzondere dag weer thuis kwamen stond er steeds iets lekkers voor ons klaar. Ondanks het minder mooie weer hebben wij 3 geweldige dagen gehad. Dankjewel Shannon en Joe!

I am not one to write reviews, but this is a top notch place!! My husband and I just visited the area to explore Shenandoah National Park. Shannon and Joe are amazing and you can truly tell that they love hosting at their beautiful Inn. They are so welcoming and make sure that you feel comfortable. They are a wealth of information regarding the park and the general area for things to do and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast is absolutely incredible!! I consider myself a foodie and they just raised the bar on my expectations for other B&B places we stay in the future. If you are considering this area for a get away, look no further than South Court Inn Bed and Breakfast... you will love it!
