Wonderful accommodations with a friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was located in a place with easy access to all the sites we wanted to see. The room was clean, comfortable and charming. It was located perfectly for what we wanted. It was quiet and peaceful

For our visit to the Shenandoah Valley, for hiking and other activities, we decided to not stay in a cabin or something rustic like we typically do in Maine and other places. This was our first time visiting Luray and I was so grateful we found and booked Hotel Laurance! The property is beautiful and super clean. There is free parking and a strong WiFi signal. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and ready with everything we needed for a 5 night stay - full kitchen with dishware/cutlery, an easy to use TV, a large, walk-in shower, and plenty of bathroom towels. The windows are big, the space has high ceilings and the rooms are bright and airy. It felt like a posh downtown apartment in a major city - not a standard hotel. They play relaxing music on the lobby level during the day, which I thought was a nice touch. The keypad lock system on the main entry doors and your room is so easy - no need to worry about carrying hotel key cards! There was a basket with water and snacks in the kitchen and complimentary soaps and shampoo/conditioner in the shower. It was quiet at night (noisy pickup trucks on the street notwithstanding, the hotel can't control that) and the mattress was comfortable. All windows have miniblinds for privacy. We never once took the car to a restaurant or coffee shop/cafe on Main Street - all are walkable from Hotel Laurance. Check out the Hawksbill Greenway, a walking path along the Hawksbill Creek right near the hotel. There is also a very old and revered oak tree up the street from the hotel off S. Court St. Check Google maps and go see it, it's very cool. The pillows were a little bulky to sleep on, but that was the only thing I'd change. Everything else about our stay at this hotel was perfect! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making our stay in Luray so nice ❤️

Our room, the Meranda, was large but dated. The kitchen was in bad shape and the carpets were worn. The bed was comfortable but we had 2 children in the unit above us who were very loud at 6:30AM. The units on the top floor are probably quieter. The common room was updated and lovely. From the pictures it looks like some of the units have been updated but unfortunately not the one we were in.

This was very unexpected. My wife and I originally rented a cabin on the mountain for the Fourth of July weekend. And a tree fell, blocking the road to the cabin and knocking out power to the area. So after checking Luray, we found Hotel Laurance. The hotel is amazing meticulously appointed, bespoke rooms, and public areas beyond beautiful and extremely comfortable. The staff were extremely attentive and accommodated us without a reservation. We are definitely looking for excuses to come back to Luray just to stay at Hotel Laurance again.

We recently stayed at this very nice boutique hotel in Luray for a wedding weekend, and it was our first time visiting the area. We were pleasantly surprised by how charming and well-maintained the hotel was. Although the hotel advertises self check-in, we were greeted by the manager upon arrival, who assisted us to our rooms and shared local highlights. We stayed in two suites, the Miranda and the Laura, both of which were surprisingly spacious. Each suite featured a comfortable sitting area and a full kitchen. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, with particularly cozy beds, which is a feature we always look for. Additionally, there was a nice assortment of coffee and tea provided in the rooms. While the hotel does not offer food service, there were several excellent options for breakfast in town. Overall, it's a lovely place to stay if you're visiting Luray.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Laurance while passing through the Shenandoah area. The hotel exudes a charming historic feel, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our room. It was spacious, like a suite, with a homey atmosphere, a full kitchen, and comfortable beds. The room was clean and well-appointed. The self-check-in process was convenient, especially since we arrived late. The hotel was quiet, and we only saw one other couple during our stay. Luray is a small town with limited options for late-night meals, so we brought some food and made use of the kitchen, which was perfect for our needs. We will definitely stay at Hotel Laurance again when we are in the area.
