It's a cheap hostel, so you get what you are supposed to get for the price. One thing that I liked is the common area, with a table and chairs to eat or work. Also, the owner was really nice to me. I only had a bad impression of the bathroom, because when I got there the cigarette smell was so strong, and they throw away the cigarette on the toilet, not trash can, so it didn't look that clean. But that was the guest's fault. For about 12 minutes walking from the hostel there izs a big mall, and at night you can buy some street food. The hostel is located inside a curious place with a lot of shops of house furniture. But it was very calm at night. I met there a new friend, so overall it was a good experience for the price. It's not the closest to downtown, but I was aware of that.

Food and others sightseeing locations are all walkable. The 53 bus to the Longmen Grottoes are 3 blocks away for 1 CNY. Last bus back to the city is at 21:30 and the Didi back I paid 30 Yuan. Longmen Grottoes is definitely better for a night visit for the Western Grottoes as half of the statues are is carved in caves that the details are masked unless lights are shown inside (which is what the night light is for). The best time to visit is around 5:30 PM and later as you will have some daylight to visit the sights then comes the lights which allows you to see the details inside the caves.

It's close to the Drum Tower and Luoyi Ancient City, making it convenient for dining and drinking! The receptionist even gave us a souvenir gift upon leaving, which we were very grateful for! I'll definitely stay at Liangyi Xunji again if I visit Luoyang again. I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Luoyang.
