I'm tired of paying astronomical prices for mediocre service. This hotel bucks the tend. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast, the room was clean with a sea view and balcony and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. All at the most reasonable prices. It's the view that makes it extra special with a magical vista from the restaurant over the golf course to the Firth and Bass Rock beyond. Perfect stay!!

We were booked in for High Tea; food was fine however the restaurant was quiet. This resulted in there being surplus staff congregating at the bar. The conversation, which was mainly based around poor working conditions and a desire to find other places to work got so loud that I couldn’t hear my wife speaking to me at our table. I was forced to get up and request that the staff kept the noise level down. No thoughts to customer care from the staff. More interested in airing their own problems. Very disappointing to witness and experience. Staff training and management needs to be worked on. Unfortunately, we will not be returning which is unfair on what the kitchen produced!!

This is a beautiful, traditional Scottish hotel with glorious sea views. We're from Edinburgh and visited for a wedding, and were incredibly impressed by our spacious, air-conditioned room (a real bonus on a hot weekend!) and the genuinely friendly service. Starting the day with a classic Scottish fry-up overlooking the stunning Lundin Links golf course was ideal. The beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, and Lower Largo – with a recommended stop at The Crusoe for food – is around 15 minutes on foot. With The Old Manor Hotel so close to home, we’ll definitely be back to explore this lovely part of Fife in more detail.

Called in often for coffee and scones and found it quite pleasant. However, visited last Sunday - family of 5 adults & one child. Ordered tea, juice and coffee with scones for 6. Drinks served straight away. Waited over (at least) ½hr for scones to appear. By which time the drinks were stone cold. Child felt unwell so asked to cancel the non- appearing scones. Told "no" because they were in the oven but we could take them away with us. To save any fuss we agreed even though our drinks were cold and we'd waited absolutely ages on said scones. Paid £30+ bill and headed home only to discover 5 of the 6 scones were pure dough in the middle and totally inedible. So heaven only knows when they had even entered the oven. They all went in the bin. Absolutely disgraceful service and even worse produce. 100% will never be back.

We had dinner in the restaurant as a 40th anniversary with our adult children and partners. Everyone was impressed with the menu, food was great, tasty, well presented. Wine list good and not too pricey. Staff good and helpful. Nice views from the restaurant. The hotel is gradually being updated and we think it's reputation should surely rise. We don't think the food is overpriced for the choice and quality of what we ate. A lovely experience.

Not that great experience. Seeing the kitchen staff hanging around outside smoking didn’t create a good first impression. Dirty glass, choice of wine not available, chipped wine glass, starter mediocre, issue with food, staff a bit disappointing. I won’t be rushing back. There are plenty of other places to try, and I’d suggest looking elsewhere if you’re after a smoother, more enjoyable dining experience.

No table reservation Got menu & drinks & waited 35mins & no-one had taken our food order, people who came in after us were getting there orders taken & served yet no-one took ours, there was only 2 tables occupied when we went in & there was 3 servers & 1 manager ! Told manager he could have his table back as we waited too long & he never made any attempt to say anything, on our way out the receptionist asked if we enjoyed everything & I told her of our experience she was shocked & apologised & was very nice although it was not here fault. Will definitely not be back & will not recommend

Just returned home from what was supposed to be an enjoyable celebratory meal at the Seaview restaurant for our 49th wedding anniversary. I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner to anyone. Meal was booked over a week ago thinking it would be busy being Easter Monday, only 7 diners were in. The menu we were presented with bore no resemblance to the one my husband downloaded from the website. No sirloin steaks were on menu and the only 2 vegetarian options on presented menu were unavailable as well as 2 of the 6 starters also unavailable and a dessert was also substituted. The Cullen skink I chose for starter clearly stated accompanied by mini cheese scones. Instead I got a huge sweet tasting scone with some toasted cheese on top - not very appetising. The food was hot but very ordinary. A very disappointing meal for a special occasion. We will stick to a nearby hotel for any future meals which have always been excellent.
